Happy to say, that I got my order in today! Should have them next week.
Sold an original sculpt figurine to cover the cost. Suffice it to say, there is a very happy commissioner out there, who is still shaking his head trying to figure out how he got his commission so cheap.

The commission was a 'Chad Lackey' to go with the Underdog PVC figure set of the 90's.

Batman and Robin arrived to the Shining Star of the Caribbean! If it weren't for Robin's un-hemmed sleeves and Batman's riding belt (yes, again) I would dare to say these are mini Hot Toys...

FTC, if you are even lurking around here, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for these amazing figures!

^^^ I noticed that in the pics, they should have put the tights seam on the inside of the leg, too.

Got these and love 'em---FTC knocked it out of the park! One quibble though: I really wish they had hemmed or otherwise finished Robin's sleeves---mine have already started to fray.

^^^I will be visiting your table and help you make packing up a bit easier this year. I can see some much needed wallet damage being done for remegos for me this year.

good idea on Super-man...will do the same thing

I will say the Zica-away bodies are not that much different...but much better

Value aside,if you want sturdier, better poseable figures, these are the way to go...the 66 Batman figures fit PERFECT on these figures

I didn't say anything about it hurting the value. Has nothing to do with value to me, I just prefer to Keep them original. And to be perfectly honest, I haven't had any trouble with FTC bodies. In fact, the worst bodies I ever got on any ReMego figures were BBP Six Million Dollar Man and Twilight Zone. My Steve Austin was a WRECK.

Something to consider if you are debating on keeping the body original or swapping it: What are you doing with the packaging? If you plan on keeping the packaging, perhaps you could keep the original figure in it for future use? If you are only keeping these for loose figures, I personally don't think value will be too big of a deal, but who knows. To me, collecting loose figures is about enjoying them, not for their future value! I hate to toss a body, so I like to use the old bodies for goons or civilians etc.

Thanks for all the kind words on our Type S body... for the record though, they are the same height as the original type 2...Figsinc and DM's are a scoach shorter... Give Em a compare and you'll see..

The Type S bodies are not exact replicas. The hips in particular are wider on the Type S and they are marginally taller.

If my figures were going to be in the hands of a child, they would definitely get swapped to a Type S body. But personally I want to keep them original.

I have no problem replacing bodies on non-vintage figures. If it was an original Mego with no non-Mego parts I would keep it as is, but FTC toys? Who cares? I buy them for the excellent costumes and head-sculpts. The bodies are too fragile and tightly strung, and besides that, I'm so completely over the whole elastic band thing anyway. I don't understand why it's taken this long for bandless bodies to finally hit this hobby--I mean, the Famous Covers nine-inch bodies are more than a decade old now and although they aren't compatible with Megos due to size, they're still a brilliant example of how to put a Mego-style body together without elastic bands. Say what you want about the famous Covers figures but those bodies are so sturdy they feel practically unbreakable, and they can strike a ton of great poses.
