Yeah, since there are not pure Mego retro due to the Super-Powers packaging, they could use the opportunity to redo the oven-mitt gloves and go with a separate fist and cuff to simulate the glove. Never really liked the oven-mitts even as a kid.

Yes, I will buy these but I wish they'd gone with the retro style FF box art.

I may wait and see if they do. Although fist-fighter Supes allows him to strike the Superman pose!

Original Mego? No. But repro and Ebay pieces/parts? All but GA since his the head is uncommon. Even then, the RA version has been available for half the FTC price.

Oh, I agree. That's why I don't understand using the same characters for each first wave. If SP started with GA, Shazam and Aquaman, I'd get it.

I totally agree. And besides, many Super Powers figures have fist hands, starting with Superman that has both.

BTW maybe it's just the angle, but that looks like a slightly different belt for Batman, and that it's riding closer to the top of the shorts versus the first release FTC Bats.

Which brings up an interesting consideration regarding Mr. Freeze, and what costume FTC might use. Of course this is a much-desired character, and FTC has already showcased the "Super Powers" Freeze (Kirby-designed?--but canonical) on the ad for their design-a-figure promotion.

But this version is potentially at odds with the '70s aesthetic of most FTC offerings--should they do the "icicle" version of Freeze from Batman #308 (Feb '79)?
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

The one I really want to see is FF Penguin. I really hope he is in wave 3. I'm not getting these until I see what else may be in store FF wise. More figures that were never done in this style are what will be the key for me. Penguin, females (especially Batgirl and Catwoman) when I think fist fighters, the first ones that come to mind are Batman characters. The pow, zap, sock, bam. Penguin, Catwoman and Batgirl are a must.

it's stimulus overload...it's like being so young again and looking through the new annual retail Christmas catalog in the autumn...marking the "I would like to have" pictures...

I like the Mister Freeze from Batman 309, but personally, I'd like the costume to be based on the Batman Animated Series.

^I do, too--it's hard to beat Mignola, & I like my Freeze with goggles. But it doesn't seem to fit somehow.

Capt. Cold should sue '79 Mr. Freeze, though lol. Great art, Paul--thanks for posting.

I like the 1992 BTAS Mr.Freeze the best, but he's not exactly vintage :(. I hope they go with the '79 Captain Cold.
