    And your point is?

Man, we're just spitballing and having fun. You're right, chances are there won't be a comic-version of Mr. Freeze, but just over a year ago who would have thought any of the things that have been announced from FTC and Diamond would be a reality.

Honestly I don't remember where I saw it. Check Plastic Memories, Scott has done a couple of interviews with Anthony, and also check the wall on FTC's FB page, people are constantly asking them when a figure/figures are coming out and they will usually answer them.

Like I said I prefer Freeze from Batman 308, and I do hope he gets made. Along with Talia, Cat-Man, Gentleman Ghost, the original Wraith, Crazy Quilt and Man-Bat. among others.

Many thanks for the reply. Guess I will have to buy another 10 Type S bodies.

For me the Freeze from Batman 308 looks too much like Captain Cold, who I already have on my shelf from the Mattel line. I'd prefer the animated series version, which is iconic.

I also transferred Robin to a Type S body and it is a great fit all around.

The plug on my Batman's head is a little small though. The head pops off with little effort, but it pops right back on too.

Agreed I saw the same thing when I tried the Type S body with my FTC Batman.

I like the idea but nothing there isn't attainable in original mego. There are definitely SP figures I would be in on. I must say I am not necessarily on board with the exact copies. The FF body should have been redesigned. The originals were never really fantastic in performance. The Fonzie body had a far more durable feature than the FF body did. A single arm punching body in that concept could easily knock down any figure. The FF figures were more like a slap fight. Gotta give FTC credit. They're getting the most out of the DC license. Even as far back as Doc's redone mego body, the elastics should have been scrapped. For as bad as the Famous Covers figures were, the bodies were as durable as anything. Just grossly deformed. I think a spinning body Red Tornado and Samurai would be cool.12 inch Apache Chief would be too. Pretty lame character until hes bigger than everyone else. Bring on the new characters. Plastic Man with stretchy arms.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

One Famous Covers figure I like and own is the Hulk. He's the perfect size to go with Megos on the shelf (he dwarfs them as he should, but not as badly as the 12" Mego version does.) I like his giant hands and feet. And even though he has the Famous Covers standard pin head, it looks right on him--the Hulk should be a bit grotesque and misshapen.

The standard 8" (more like 7") Mego Hulk has the superior headsculpt, but until someone finds a way to bring him up to normal height I'll be holding onto my Famous Covers Hulk.

I agree about rubber bands in general by the way. With all the re-mego stuff that's apparently been going on for years now, I find it odd and a bit disheartening that the figures still use rubber bands. And yes, my Figures Toys Riddler snapped an arm off the second I tried to pose it. Thankfully I had a spare body lying around, but still--rubber bands are not only prone to breakage but they limit the possibilities for posing figures. Thankfully Doc Mego's new body will be hitting at some point.

Those Famous Covers bodies can still be very useful for "giant" custom figures. And they're miles better than the Playmates 9" Trek bodies.

It would take some work to use a Famous Covers head with a Mego body. Mego heads have a plug sticking down out of the neck that inserts into the body, while Famous Covers heads have a hole at the bottom that a plug is supposed to stick up into. A Famous Covers body has a neck sculpted onto it and a plug sticks up out of the neck for the head to attach to. Basically its the exact opposite of the Mego head/body arrangement. An easier custom would be to use the FC body and a Mego head with the plug sanded off,

Are these non-Batman Fist Fighters the only way FTC is giving us Aquaman, Superman, GA and Shazam?

I dont want to buy these and then they announce regular re-megos. I have to limit my spending!!

They will eventually release regulars of all these figures. I am waiting as well.
