And it's funny you mention now being on the fence due to future packaging possibilities because I was already thinking about this. For example I never got into Super Powers so while the card backs look great and I appreciate the vintage look, I really don't need to have them in that packaging. But if FTC later released the fist-fighters in repro original fist fighter boxes or cards, I'd be all over it.
Also with the fist fighters I think the quality of the bodies is very important and will affect sales even more because more mobility and movement is necessary.
Very exciting times!Comment

I'm not a big fist fighter fan, I am wondering if we will at the same time see a line of the Superman, Shazam, Green Arrow, Aquaman figures on the normal bodies at the same time these go on sale. If the head and costume is exactly the same, and the price is the same I suppose I could switch out the body...
I don't think the costume will be the same they will have to alter them do to the trigger in the back of the FF body.Comment

I hate to be the odd man out but,...
Yes, I will buy these but I wish they'd gone with the retro style FF box art.

I think Toyroom/Anthony and Austin's SP figures provided proof of concept, but it's really a convergence of opportunity.
WB/DC renewed the Super Powers trademark around 2010 and brought it to life in 2012. It's now a license for any product, but like any license, you have to follow its bible. That's why the FTC card is near-identical to the original SP cards and the Matty Collector stuff. So theoretically, someone could continue the SP original line, using new tooling of the old molds and depending on Matty's long-term intentions.
It's interesting to think what figures are possible, like Brainiac and Power Lex, but which ones may not be, such as Orion or Golden Pharaoh. The new and re-designs were Kirby creations strictly for the toys so he could collect a bigger royalty check, but I don't know what kind of ownership WB/DC has over the usage.Comment

plus shipping.
I can customize my own with a card from Anthony for less than that. The most expensive piece would be the head. If they're going to up the retail, they need to drop the re-treads. I'm not paying 30 for another Superman. People were complaining about DST Marvel price being a gouge - that stuff is 99% all new!Comment

I was trying to resist buying reproductions, waiting for the Batman 66, but this line is too wonderful. I give up!
Only two suggestions to FTC:
-Graphic design can be easily improved, in particular the way you have put the logo of Super Powers...
-Try to match the colors of the clothes with the Kenner figures.Comment
