That's pretty cool, actually. I'm not much of a Mego surgeon. I wish I were good at fixing and restringing. I spent way too long on Christmas Day trying to fix my BBP Daggit so his arms wouldn't fall off.

Ok, Just completed my Wave 1 collection when I picked up the Joker today at the Comic Shop! And good news...another good body that doesn't need to be replaced.so out of 4 figures I got 2 good ones and 2 that need replacing or restringing. So I guess we've got about a 50/50% shot at getting a good FTC body that doesn't need replacing.
That aside....this Joker is AWESOME! The colors are so bright and vibrant it's incredible to look at...I LOVE this figure!sigpicComment

Got my Penguin yesterday, and freed him from his packaging today. He's pretty awesome, other than being a little too tall. I never owned Penguin as a kid, but it's obvious from all the pics I've seen that the Mego fat body had stumpier legs. The hat made up the difference in height back then, now he stands a little taller than every body else. However, he is strung much more loosely, and even the knee and elbow joints aren't as tight. Don't know if this means something was adjusted between W1 and W2, but he's definitely easier to move than my Joker and Riddler. Guess it could be the fact that the torso is a little shorter due to not having the pelvic piece. I would give Penguin a solid A-. The suit and jacket are very well made, paint apps are perfect, and his face doesn't seem to have been elongated like some of the others. I wonder if FTC will be selling the 7" body at some point. I think maybe they should have used those legs of the 8" legs.Comment

The old Bob Seger problem. "Little too tall. Could have used a few pounds."
While building my custom Mego Doc Ock, I found that the difference is in the torso. Originally I planned to use the CTVT India fat male body. When I realized that it would make Doc Ock much shorter than the others, I purchased an original Wizard from Oz taller fat male body. I didn't see any scale difference in the limbs.
Judging by the photos I've seen, I'd guess that FTC's new fat male body is the taller torso version.Comment

As I was poking around eBay yesterday I noticed that the fat bodies for sale were described as short or long torsos, so there ya have it. Interesting.Comment

Nice pics! Yeah, I just ordered series two yesterday, so I'm excited to get these. They look very close to the originals and I was very happy with series one as Christmas gifts. I'm all in for this line. It really hits all the right nostalgia spots.Comment

I'm not sure where this batarang came from---I think it might have been from a DC Direct figure, but I don't remember which one.Comment
