Cant really tell you on the gloves as I have never got the repro gloves and don't have any to compare. but they do seem pretty close to the originals.
As far as Joker I have to say everything about him is pretty spot on :-)

So, the gloves are thinner/softer that usual CTVT but still smooth? Just curious.
My first impression is: pretty spiffy. I like the slight color variations, & Joker's coat seems to be constructed properly.Leave a comment:

Tightness is, for some reason, a standard issue with FTC/CTVT going all the way back to Munsters and the other Mego repros.
I was hoping the factory change from India to China would solve that, but it must be about the materials available. No "shattering in package" would be an improvement.
The culprit used to be the black bands and hooks inside. Either the hooks grappled too tightly or the bands were auto strength rubber and had no pliability.
Then again, if they ever get new figures made, I'd be more apt to swap them all.Leave a comment:

Im just wondering if this is something that may fix itself with play wear kind of like the original type 1 bodies on Megos remember how when they were new they would tend to want to do the splits but in time they kind of straightend out as we played with them.I pretty much agree with everything said in this review. The figures do look great. For me though, the bodies are not as good as the original Mego bodies. I find them harder to bend, and pose. And each figure seems to have a side they like to lean towards when standing vanilla posed. I'm waiting to see how other people feel about the bodies when they open them. It's really my only complaint on these. If I could switch them to new bodies they'd probably be better than the old Mego figures. They look really good, until you try to play with them. Maybe I just got a very stiff set? I don't know.Leave a comment:

I'm liking the dark blues and greens. I'm waiting, but its tempting. I wonder what the chances are of lose figures like they did Kiss later on?Leave a comment:

dumb question... but why did you get a carry case if you're going to keep them in the package?Leave a comment:

someone did :-)
The folks at Figures Toy Co. have production samples in hand and expect to meet the posted delivery dates for the upcoming Batman Retro Series 1. It would be great to examine these up close, but for now pictures will work. There are some subtle and not-so-subtle design differences between these and their Mego forefathers…Leave a comment:
