I got mine.
And have freed them from their plastic prison.
I LOVE THEM!
It's like being 10 again.
The bodies are not very Possable and I am afraid to work them too much but they are alot better than the Mattel
Attempt a few years ago.
These really are remego.Action Jackson is his name.
Bold adventure is his game.Comment

My Series 1 order just got delivered! My initial thoughts : (so I reserve the right to take it all back)
PACKAGING
===========
THE GOOD:
- Everything was well-packed. Lots of styrofoam peanuts in the box. The front of each blister was covered with a clear plastic wrap (to prevent scratches?) Nice job overall.
- Let me just say - It's an awesome sight to see brand new Batman Megos in a shiny new package. The colors are sharp and it all just takes me back to being 10 yrs old again. That being said, I'm a "play with my toys" type, so after appreciating them a bit, I opened 'em up !
- The clamshell is new and different than the clams that CTVT has sold before (which is what I expected). The hinge is on the bottom which works pretty well and makes it look sleeker than the old ones. I like these.
THE BAD:
- After doing such a great job on the clamshell and the colorful card, I was a bit disappointed when I realized that inside the clam, the inner bubble is glued to the card. Because of the twist ties holding the figure to the bubble, you need to peel off the bubble (just like old Megos!) which ruins the card. sigh. Still, I can always use another card in the clam , I guess.
BODIES
==========
THE GOOD:
- I don't have a lot of CTVT bodies to compare with. The only other figure I've bought was a Black Knight because I wanted the parts and that body fell apart as I took it out of the box! These are much nicer. Not top-notch , but much better. I had no issues standing my figures up or posing them. I was thinking of replacing them with the new Doc Mego or Castaway bodies when they become available, but I would say I don't have a pressing need to change them out right away (like I did when I got the Mattel Remegos).
THE BAD:
- Did have 1 body mishap. Riddler's left arm was dislocated (in package). I took a look and the inner peg (that the hook attaches to) has a crack. Probably from the bands being too tight. I really don't like the one that CTVT uses , those tiny little black rubber ones. I think I can repair, will give it a try later, or just move Riddler to one of my spare T2s.
COSTUMES
===========
THE GOOD
- This is where I think they really have done a great job. As said before, the blue colors on Batman look really good. Dare I say, I prefer this shade to the original Mego? And the boots and gloves, and cape all match nicely. The spiky things on his gloves are very noticeable which is good. The screen printed logo looks great. As also said before, the Joker is close to perfect. The darker purple suits him (also better than Mego, IMO). The cloth materials use feel nice. Mego-like, but modern, if that makes sense. Robin and Riddler look great also, but Joker and Bats are my faves , in that order.
THE BAD
- Batman's belt seems to hover a bit too high for his shorts. Does this mean the belt is too narrow? I'd like to find a fix for this. (maybe a Doc Mego belt would look better?)
OVERALL
==========
I'm very happy with my purchase. I will probably get more for my nephews (these are mine, kids!)
Not perfect, but a very good start to their offerings.
I'm looking forward to more from Figures now. (please let them get Superman stuff going)
Will see if I can get a sec later for picsComment

^^great review. I am hearing echoes of pretty much everything. I should have my figs by Monday.
I am hearing of the breakage with the arms too.
I think I am most excited about Joker.
Might swap Robin's head with a vintage one I have sitting around.
The Batman belt is sounding like it was made too small if it won't slide down enough to hide the trunks/bodysuit seam.Comment

I bought the Riddler for my Daughter because I don't have a Mego version. Since I don't have an original, I can't say how this one compares.
THE BAD:
- After doing such a great job on the clamshell and the colorful card, I was a bit disappointed when I realized that inside the clam, the inner bubble is glued to the card. Because of the twist ties holding the figure to the bubble, you need to peel off the bubble (just like old Megos! ) which ruins the card. sigh. Still, I can always use another card in the clam , I guess.Comment

D'oh! Good solution Iguana!
I was so excited to see them and play with them, my brain must have shut down
Though I still would have preferred if the cards were totally unconnected to the bubble. I mean, they have twist ties plus the form-fitting bubble. They really wanted these things to not move , I guess(and still I got a bad arm)

Yeah, having the figured twist tied to the packaging was a little annoying, but certainly understandable.Comment

Thanks!
1 new thing I've discovered - the clams are about 3/4 inch too short to fit in a std-sized Mego card (I have a few from Toyroom) :(.
Too bad - I really like these new shells and if they were the right size, they'd be my go-to choice. I'll just have to make smaller cards for these.
I don't suppose the art for the Figures boxes is er .. available online anywhere? I could have sworn I saw it posted once. Not a big deal, I can just make something new if not available.Comment

Well, up till 1am doing it, but I scanned what remained of my FTC cards , really just the character heads and WGH logo and pieced together a new card that fits in my Castways clamshell. (Still need to rotate the names for Batman and Joker, but hey it was 1am!)
So Yay! FTC Batman is homeless no more.
Here's a pic.

Got mine today! Yay for Saturday delivery!! The kiddo is playing with them right now. Well she's playing with Joker and Riddler, we have a kit-bashed Batman and Robin already. I did buy the new FTC ones, but they are going to some friends' kids. Anyway, they look awesome! I never had Riddler as a kid, and am happy to get a NEW figure that my kid and I can play with. He does not stand, his left leg is flipped in a little too much, I think the band is twisted. So I'll probably undress him later and see if I can spin the leg around. Other than that they are very cool. Will take pics once the playin' is over. Really looking forward to further series.Comment

ok, so our two sets of figures arrived today...this evening was pretty busy, but I really want to sit down with The Boy and take some really good shots for yall.
First impressions - wow. Homerun. Joker is the best of them in my opinion. The colors are very good, the textiles are good.
I told my wife that over the course of my entire hobby life, I predicted two things-
1) KISS would get back together and put the makeup back on
2) These figs would be re-made
But, I have to say - within ten minutes of having them in my very hand, my Riddler broke. Knee pin bust right in half as I tried to pose him.
I messaged FTC via facebook to see if they'd drop a pin in the mail for me...but an hour or so after I got to sit for a minute and I said to myself that is stupid because I have a parts bin.
I went fishing and found a donor pin.
Popped it in and all back together.
Started putting his outfit back on, and yeah, left arm came right off...there is so much tension, the metal hook ripped the soft bicep hole right open.
So, back to the parts bin and find a donor left arm...
The inner child in me is completely looking the other way because I just can't believe they finally got remade, but damn, breaking right out of the package...damn damn damn
