Same, no interest in the character and it's a terrible fit for a retro line.
The new Batman is great. What the first one should have been. The original figure with slightly enhanced sculpt and paint. Hopefully we'll see more like that. I don't want to see stuff like the Joker with his face cut off in Super Powers.
I disagree about it being a terrible fit for a Retro line.
I don't wanna see ALL modern as opposed to classic designs, but I would certainly like to see Damian in this line eventually.
Batman Who Laughs isn't a bad choice because he's modern, he's a bad choice because he's a terrible design. I'd buy Jaime Blue Beetle, Atrocitus or Arkillo in this line, but this is just ugly.

I have supported the line (minus that Batman Who Laughs),

MUCH better. I have supported the line (minus that Batman Who Laughs),
I know some folks defended that choice, but wow, here, at least, it's the only figure in the line with a big red sticker. Superman, still full price but that guy is half off.
MUCH better. I have supported the line (minus that Batman Who Laughs), but aeshetically, they were off quite a bit, particularly with the first Batman. This one fits right in, and honestly looks more like what I wanted in 1984. I always wanted the perma-shadow on his cowl. Mego didn't do it either, but I still wanted it. They gave it to Captain America!
I'd hope McFarlane toys at least finishes off the original 12. A modern take on power suit Lex is probably a fairly safe bet. But I'd be very surprised if we get the alien terminator Brainiac. Which is a shame because I really dig the design.
I like the Tim Drake choice because that's the Batman Returns figure. I will just have to switch the black/yellow cape on him. And I don't mind the new capes, the vinyl feel of them are like Mego plus I hated when Kenner's would curl and roll up at the corners after time. :( Also excited to get an '89 version. I remember when Toy Biz first did their advertisements and the prototypes were just repainted Super Powers figures and not like the actual finished products. I painted my SP batman figure and a COPS vehicle all black and it was a pretty good at the time custom job I i did.
I wonder if the Tim Drake variant isn't the red and black costume, based on the animated New Batman Adventures look? McFarlane has repainted the classic Tim costume into this before.
A Whirly Bat could also be the 70s/80s version. It also showed up on Super Friends
Kenner proposed a Whirly-Bat back in the classic line.
