Looks like unless you're a fan of New 52 ( which I'm not ) there won't be a lot to look forward to from Mattel in the way of DC figures.Leave a comment:

Save Huntress and Ras, the selection offered was weak.
And Ghostbusters is a massively overrated license.Leave a comment:

Mattel DC club Infinite Earths canceled
This is all Mattel fault that the line did not last. How can you have a fan club and not give the fans who are willing to part with $300 a say in what figures are coming out.We told you earlier today how Mattel managed to get the minimum number of subscribers they needed for their 2014 Masters of the Universe Club Eternia subscription, and how it didn't look good for their DC and Ghostbusters Ecto-1 vehicle sub. Well now Mattel has issued an official statement letting folks no the status about these, and it's not good news.
Every super hero knows you can’t win ‘em all and we’re sorry to say we did not reach our goal for the DCU 2014 Club Infinite Earths subscription. We also did not reach our goal for the Ecto-1 pre-order. We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to all the fans for waging such a good, strong fight. It will take us a while to figure out where we can go from here. It may be possible to release a few DCU figures quarterly, or to release 12 figures at higher non-subscription prices. Or, we may have to say a final goodbye to this line at the end of this year. Without the sub, we just don’t know what’s possible at this point. Over the next few months we’ll be meeting internally and with all of our partners at Warner Bros., DC Comics, and Sony, and we’ll let you know as soon as we can what our options are.
Our guess is, the figures we have already seen made by Mattel like Doomsday and the others that were shown at SDCC will end up seeing release, since Mattel has already spent money on them. Likely at a higher price point than what would have been charged for them through the subscription service. We will keep you posted once we hear official word from Mattel in the coming days.Tags: None
