Superman Man of Steel figures at Walmart

Just saw these being put out at Walmart...3-3/4" size...$6.97 each. I saw 8 different figs,2 or more of each Supes , only 1 Zod. Sorry if pics are screwy, using my phone & not to good at it.

The packaging is actually not bad, although the colors look a bit like the Iron Man toys from the first two movies.

The "Superman Red" figure is kind of a cool nod for us comic geeks, as far as useless variants go.

I was thinking this version was going to be the 5" size, so 3 3/4" size is surprising.

Apparently Wal-Mart is doing a HUGE tie-in to MOS:

I am only interested in the Movie Masters. I want both Zods.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

Just checked our local Wal-Mart, and they have MOS tags up, but no figures. Looks like they are resetting the aisle again.

Why do I feel these are more movie peg-warmers to look at for the next 2 years?

            Are the pics upside down?

Glad to see they are only $6.97. I may pick up the movie accurate Superman and Zod.

I've never quite got the different variants when it comes to most action figures especially Superman. But if the kids play with 'em that's all that matters. But like Toyroom I see these being retail dust collectors.

^My kids don't play with them like that. I've never really understood the endless variations model either. I think they sell to a point, but if they are overpacked versus the standard figure, they soon become pegwarmers, and have killed many a line.

Yeah not sure I understand the variant thing either. Some of them don't come anywhere close to being related to the movie and probably don't get purchased until they hit the clearance rack.

Here are some others they put out today. The quick shots are like mini slingshots, small rubber figures for $ 6.97 each, three different ones.

The bigger ones are action activated by squeezing the legs to move the arms. Three of those, $12.97.

Those sling shot things are ODD. But I kind of like them. They seem a bit like Jigglers and Stretch Armstrong combined.

Went tonight and saw a bunch of empty pegs reserved for Man of Steel toys, including Movie Masters. I believe those were tagged at $15.97 or $16.97.

Its fun to watch Superman fans getting some new product and love from the movie studios. Hopefully they'll build a new franchise.
