I Think the Costume is a lot more practical, looks Cleaner, and really doesn't even look like the same costume to some degree.

The shoulder pads, the random piping lines, the Iron Man chest piece. But it's not a horrible design. It' still reads "Darkseid". But I'm a purist.

Yes, that is nice. He's got his blue Filmation tux on again! Funny how the DC style guides dictated this look for the Penguin, when in the comics, his jacket was always black, not blue! Sure, blue highlights, but that's just comics for you.

The first DCUC Penguin's face had too much DeVito in it.

He had that sorta BTAS (1st Design) Clashed with Devito-ish Vibe.
In the New 52 ...., He's Probably Like Part Penguin or Crow...., can Fly and shoot a Lazer from his PimpStick Cigarette

the DCDirect one BK posted looks a lot better, and sort of reminds me of the future Darkseid from Rock of Ages.

They have turned Darkseid into Apokolypse. I thought it was cool to have him wearing just a blue muscle shirt with attached skirt. How badass is that? This new design is pretty good, much better than most everything in this new universe.

I liked the Darkseid look from JLU's finale "Destroyer" when he merged with what was left of Brainiac. That is a cool upscaled look for ol' stoneface.

I just can't stand Superman. The Neck Ruins it for me.
Everyone Else is sorta Fine to me. Even WW...., It's atleast a step up from the Pants.

I think it's funny how technology has advanced and gotten so much smaller, but now the once sleek Cyborg looks like Megatron these days.

Wonder Woman's black boots are just wrong. They look ugly. The rest is doable.

Flash and GL just have a bunch of extra lines on them that aren't necessary, and don't really make sense for the characters.

Batman's look is decent, as it combines the DK armor look with the comic colors.

Aquaman stole Kenny Chesny's Pooca shells, but looks pretty close to normal otherwise.

Superman's "armor" is just an odd way to go for an indestructible alien. The unkept hair and smirky face make him look like a frat boy, not the World's Greatest Super Hero. The suit would be okay for an alternate "emergency suit" or an Elseworlds tale, but it's just trying too hard to be hip.

But that being said, the figures themselves are very nice looking.

All that "Line Crap" Came because of the Movies ...., as did the No Undies Rule.
I always think of the WW Toon a Few Years Back ..., When Her and Steve go to the States for the 1st Time, and it was sorta Thrown Out there that Her Suit Came off "Hooker-ish" . .
