I'm actually thoroughly enjoying the DC Unlimited and Batman Unlimited lines thus far. The New 52 characters look excellent IMO, and in most cases have been improvements sculpt-wise over their DCUC predecessors. This wave, however (I'm assuming we're seeing unofficial pics of protos), really misses the mark set by the first few waves hitting now. I'm not familiar with Injustice, but this Superman's head looks tiny, as does Aquaman's, whose figure could use a bit more updating to set him apart from DCUC Aquaman. And Darkseid...I thought it was the shoulder pads at first, but now I think the rest of him just needs to grow into those. Hopefully the next/official shots of this wave will look much better.

Aquaman's body looks to be a DCUC buck, but his head is tiny.

I agreed that these proto shots of Wave 3 are terrible, but I do think/hope there is some photo manipulation going on with the heads - they look to be shopped onto the bodies, very disproportionately. I don't think these are final or official. The Aquaman buck also appears to be only slightly altered from the DCUC version, so IDK what the huge disappointment is there for DCUC fans. I was saying that I think the first few waves of DCUnlimited and Batman Unlimited look excellent IMO (specifically, All-Stars/Unlimited 52 Superman (tho he still has that underbite all 4H Supermen have), 52 Batman, 52 Batgirl, 52 Hawkman, 52 Flash, 52 Wonder Woman) and in some cases are improvements over DCUC sculptwise (Batgirl, below).



I only hope the trend set so far continues in Wave 3's final product, because that first shot is scary.

I hope the final figures look better too...but I think the Injustice: Gods Among Us video game designs look pretty weird, either way.

Good God, those are horrendous! But even if the sculpts were good, they would be horrible. The costume designs are complete crap.

You got 1 Batgirl with a sorta decent Head Sculpt in a Crappy Suit doesn't really make me wanna go out and buy all the Mattel 52 Figures.

its the same headsculpt on both Batgirls, the Nu52 one just has the Giger inspired looking armor suit. Blecchh.

Given, if you aren't a fan of the DCnU redesigns, you probably aren't going to be a fan of the figures. I love all my Classics, and am excited for these as well. Not a fan of the Injustice: Gods Among Us designs however, so I'm not a fan of any of the Injustice figures.
