With all this stuff that Hot Toys is bringing out, and the steady rise of prices, I'm glad I didn't hop on the HT train.
Take The Avengers: I was very tempted. Now they'll be doing 7-8 characters, at $150-200 to $..... a piece? So if you go for the full line-up, what's that going to cost you? $2,000?
Even a simple figure, like Luke Bespin, is going for $275-300 and more. And he's just a human figure without special armor or something.

They make beautiful figures but -much like a Ferrari and Porsche- I'll never be able to afford them.
I was lucky to be able to trade some in the beginning (Kyle Reese, two Colonial Marines and a Predator), so that'll be it for me....

Shame it doesn't come with the full USO uniform w/mask etc then (or does it?). Although I'm sure this one will appeal to the military collectors out there.

^They are talking about the Cap in his bomber jacket with the USO outfit underneath, I think. It was shown on Japanese sites, but never put up for preorder here, I believe.

-Captain America Golden Age Version is still scheduled.
A few things appear to have been lost in translation... Since the ww2 army uniform was the first one released, and we've seen the upcoming Avengers uniform, could this possibly mean that we will see Cap in his USO costume... Which s probably as close as we'll get to a classic comics costume as a Hot Toys figure?

Also interesting to note... No Amazing Spider-man. Are they waiting to see how it performs at the box office, or just overloaded with all the other properties? Although I guess no DarkKnight Rises news yet either.

I don't think anyone would have predicted Green Lantern cancelled and a full range f X-Men first class figures at this time last year. Particularly since their positions were reversed going into the retail market prior to the release of their respective films. It will be interesting to see if First Class figures might make it into Legands Assortments eventually. Very much looking forward to seeing Emma Frost.
Yes, First Class didn't even rate any true action figures, although one could argue the costuming in this movie was much more "toyetic" than any previous X-Men film. Whereas GL toys are still clogging racks. Who woulda thunk it? Not me for sure.
