I wouldn't think they were that price..., But have never scene them.
Star Wars & Joe's are the same size,.. made by the same company,.. & their figures are around 7.00 at most retail stores , give or take some change. Also the other Hasbro Marvel offerings are 10.99 for the bigger figures,.. give or take a buck.

They are all over the place in Calgary and retail at only 8.99-9.99 up here in Canada, so I cant see them being 12.99 down under.
Unless somebody saw them at a comic/hobby shop or something along those lines for that price? Some of those establishments might mark them up a bit higher, especially if they know they arent available at the big box stores yet??

I found them at Meijers for $8 each, and I thought that's what K-mart had them for as well. I have heard of other places with ridiculous (er, more ridiculous) prices though.

I saw these in person for the first time yesterday at TRU and Meijer's. I must say they look much nicer than the DCIH figures on the whole.

I saw them at Meijers also. Didn't think much of them. I passed. Might get the Ultimate Captain America though when it comes out. I'm not a fan od the DCIH figures either though. I liked the old DC Direct PVC sets. Liked the sculpts better.

I finally saw these yesterday at Wal-mart and based on Michaels review of them I had thought about getting Iron Man and Spidey (which both looked really good). But I just couldn't spend the $8.49 they wanted. They are at least $2 too much. But at leat they have an accessory, unlike the DCIH.

Did anyone put them side by side with the DC infinate heroes figures to see if they are the same height?

Someone hit my Walmart before I got a Chance too today.
Anyhow,.. I walked away with a Surfer, DD, X-force Wolverine... & a Maverick figure. My son thought it was cool that a comicbook character shared his same name.

I'd like to get somemore of the main Marvel characters...., looking foward to a Thing. These figures are a ton better than the Infinite Hero's Line,.. Hasbro has worked so long in the 3&3/4 inch scale,.. with Star Wars & Joes..., these are just as good imo. Neat stuff.
