Yes, I really like this figure of Batman so I will have to get it! The old "blue/gray costume & yellow capsule-belt" is my favorite version.

It seems they all have serious multiple points of articulation too.
DC Direct just announced a 13" Golden Age Flash too.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

No, it's really the other way around. The higher ups at DC don't want to pay Neal Adams what he is worth. And he is worth alot more money to them than most of the artist that they hype today. When they published the collected words of Neal Adams, he had to practically beg them to do it. Why? Because they didn't think it would sell. From there tiny minds all they could see is an old Batman artist who hadn't done anything in years. That book was one of their first sellouts. But Neal still had to beg them to produce the GLGA series too. Another sellout book.Frankly, they havent done a Neal Adams Batman...because of Neal Adams. The amount of money he wants from DCD to have his name associated with the figures is crazy.
Regaurding the Perez Bats...I think it's a pretty close look to Perez's Batman.....especially the head/mask. I love this figure!

And I know what I'm talking about too. I meet Neal's son; Jason Adams at Wonderfest in Ky a few years ago and asked him directly what was going on. He's a great guy with alot of talent himself.
DC still don't have a clue to the type of money they could really be making. Instead of pushing crap like Frank Miller vomit.
As for these figures; I'll pass on the Blue Devil. Why in the hell would anyone want this figure and spend over $10 on it too. I love the Manhunter. I remember buying the old Detectives back in the day and reading the backup stories first hand. But the forearms are way too big. I may pass on it or do some custom work on it. The GA is pretty cool and the Bats is too. The second series is just a must buy. Period! Not a bad one in the bunch.

I for one will be buying a Blue Devil figure...it's not always about Batman ya know....
Sure Blue Devil was an 80s character written with a slightly humourous slant but I always thought he had great visuals and potential. Not so much of a fan when they "Neron-ized" him during "Underworld Unleashed".
But I've always been a supporter of the obscure and oddball characters...I figure sales on guys like Blue Devil and yes, your precious Manhunter
, can only help this line and future waves of other characters that DC Direct has neglected for a while instead of the obligatory Batman and Superman thrown in every mix.
If they're taping the George Perez well from "History of the DC Universe" I'm hoping they eventually do guys like Space Ranger, Robby Reed (Dial "H" for Hero), Ragman, Silent Knight, Prince Ra-Man, The Metal Men, and others.

Nah, I know it's not always about Batman. Believe it or not, I don't buy every figure produced of Batman. I'm alot more picky.I for one will be buying a Blue Devil figure...it's not always about Batman ya know....

I agree on seeing more obscure characters, but I doubt there is a large enough support for Blue Devil. But you can get too obscure sometimes. Most of the ones you listed should be produced. Mainly the Metal Men and the Doom Patrol. They would be good sellers because you would have buy them all to get the group.
Now is this the graphic novels from the 80's that Perez drew or an updated version? Because if it's the 80's version then the Batman character is wrong. He drew him black and grey, no blue to be found. As for the Perez drawing Manhunter with big forearms, well he just drew them too big. This maybe just the pics I've seen so far, but all of them really show the forearms oversized IMHO. Must've been eating some spinach, cause he's got a Popeye thing going on.

It's the original HOTDCU from the 80s. On Batman's first appearance page, he's black and grey but on his Outsiders and JLI pages, he's blue.
A lot of this is artist license on the part of the sculptor's, no fault of George Perez'....the pic of the 70s Manhunter only shows one arm (no out of proportion IMO) and NOTHING below his breast bone.As for the Perez drawing Manhunter with big forearms, well he just drew them too big. This maybe just the pics I've seen so far, but all of them really show the forearms oversized IMHO. Must've been eating some spinach, cause he's got a Popeye thing going on.
