Naw you just think they killed him. The figures actually survived by hidding in an old refrigerator.
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.
You know this is one of those lines that will make you kick yourself in a couple of years for not picking up extras of all those Indys, Swordsman, and Mutts stinkin' up the pegs right now. I can easily see this being a very collected line in the future, and have no doubt the values will rise on all the Indy toys. Especially if nobody steps up to the plate and makes better figures in the future.
There's not much here that I don't disagree with, bad sculpts, bad paint, the wrong characters up-front too many Mutts, why nor Brody and Jones Sr. in the early waves, better vehicles could have been made: The German wing, the bi-plane, the Crusade tank.
The one thing I think really applies tho is most people who like Indiana Jones films are not toy customers. A lot of people at work that I have spoken to saw the earlier films and had no toys from them and have no interest in buying these toys. Star Wars had a built in customer base. People fondly remembered the figures and vehicles so came back to new characters, better sculpts and new vehicles.
Hasbro Just put up the TOD figures on thier site. However Sold Out before I gotta Chance to see. I think they will be able to be had,.. if there is seriously no major interest in this line with Kids & Collectors,.. it seems Feezable witha Few thousand or more pieces of each character they could be had.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

Hundreds of people have their TOD figures already in hand...like me They are an awesome addition to the line.

I think it's a shame they have cancelled the line. Everyone seems to be forgetting something here.....the line is bascially for kids. My 7 year old loves them. He couldn't wait for them to hit the shelves back in May. I bought him most of the first two waves but have not been able to locate many of the Crusade figures. And he even likes the Mutt Williams figure. Collecting these things as adults is all well and good, but don't forget most of us are collectors because we loved these things so much when we were growing up.

Action figures are .... for kids.......?
Just getting a kick at the whole paradigm shift in making movie/tv/ comic toys these days for adult collectors instead of kids.
Speaking of Indiana Jones did anyone see last week's South Park? Based on last weeks outrageous show, I would say Matt and Trey didn't like the new Indy movie.
i dont think they cancelled it considering i just saw a commericial fo rthe "temple of akator" playset.
The cancellation is pretty imminent (sp?) but they are still
gonna push for sales of that product through Christmas---
they'd be fools not to....they got alotta stuff lyin' aound.

I'm always tempted by these figures, but just don't pull the trigger. The Indy sculpt is a huge negative. He looks more like the father from Alf than Harrison Ford.

Some of the multiple sculpts are better than others...I just don't get
too close to them to study!
If I had a decent amount of restraint---I would have bought huge lots
of them---possibly even loose---from the typical "disenchanted bunch"
that always evolves from these scenarios a year or two in.
Maybe you'll nab 'em that way---a heckuva lot cheaper than I did.
