I would absolutely agree... Hollywood has a tendency to push it's hot new actors on the public... It's just marketing... But surely fan boys are usually the first to baulk at the practice, especially as it pertains to their sacrosanct franchises.

I don't eat at the "LaBeoufett" so to speak, but I liked him in Disturbia... Transformers was not bad... Indy 4 never had a shot...

I never saw TRANSFORMERS but heard consistently good reviews of it...
dunno how much Shia had to do with that.

He's okay. Maybe not deserving of all the attention, but I feel he pulls of his roles well enough. There have been far worse actors that have gotten even more attention.

I thought he did fine in Transformers, although I will admit that's the only movie I've seen him in (I missed Indy 4). But he's certainly not the sole reason for the line not selling. Surpringly here there were a lot more Indy figures hanging on the pegs than Mutts.

Still I think if they made a Grail tank or a dirgible biplane or a flying wing with a german mechanic, things would have been better.

That generic German truck and Jeep sucked. Even the motorcycle blew.

Actually now thats its ending I actually checked the peg warmers out. Maybe pick some up later in the week. Walmart started clearancing them.

Anyone mail order the crystal skull alien from the collect the stickers thing? I saw someone had the 12" scale Ark here I wanted a review of the alien.

I actually am a big Indy fan and loved the cartoon transformers the original not any of the other ones, and still haven't seen either of the two movies. The ads for Indy just didn't impress me and I don't like the whole live-action stuff of redoing a cartoon character. Maybe I'll rent em some day. As for toys, I'm just a vintage fan. It doesn't actually have to be vintage but new toys just look kinda crappy to me. At least stuff like Batman the animated series which was probably the newest line I ever bought pieces from at retail and the X-men series from Toy Biz were OK in quality, though a couple of the X-men had the harder plastic issue like McFarlanes early stuff, which I like from a detail point of view, and broke fairly easily. I like that JLU stuff but the first few figures I saw at retail had crappy paint jobs with bad seams and I was just turned off from the start. The $7.99 price tag didn't help the cause either, though I now see them for less all the time. I don't see many of the small figures at clearance though I have gotten some deals on the 10" and 6 pack exclusives. Looks like John Stewart is in every pack I see too. Used to be Supes, and then it was Batman.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

My concern with "The Temple of Doom" figures is with what sort of distribution
they will have. "The Last Crusade" figures are not exactly clogging up stores in my area.

I just spent 26 bucks on one MOLA RAM figure
ordered online cause I just had to have ONE dang TOD fig
                        ASAP----
(and I still have to wait 7-10 business days to get it)

                        Why be concerned?

I have to say, I was REALLY looking forward to all the Indiana Jones stuff being launched out of the 4th movie...until I actually saw it. I was really disappointed in the product, it just didn't seem worth the $7.99 price point, and it never seemed to go on sale. I did buy the talking 12" Indy with creepy mouth movement, and I would have liked to get the send-away Ark but couldn't justify buying the other 3 figures to get it (actually, I wouldn't have minded the enemies, but I didn't care for Mutt- nothing against Shia Lo-Beef, I just prefer the classic stuff and would have rather had a Mola Ram or Belloq- or better a Marion Ravenwood).

After seeing these things hanging there so long, I've pretty much figured a deep markdown is coming everywhere, so I still might pick them up when they go cheap...guess what I need to do is grab the HTF ones like Grail Knight & Young Indy, Henry Sr., Shorty & Willie if I see them. Leave the regular Indys alone as they seem to be plentiful.

Anyone know what ones are the tough finds?

I also might go for the little Action people fisher-price looking thingies...they seem to be kinda neat.

If anyone wants the sticker which came with my Indiana to send in four of them to get an Ark, let me know and I will post it out to you.

Hurry ends at the end of October.

When I first saw the preview pics of the Indy figures over at AFI, I was really excited to see a "dedicated" toy line for the Indy franchise. I knew that I would at least buy all the ones from the first three movies. But when I saw them in stores I just passed on them. I didn't like the looks of them. And they were everywhere here: TRU, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, KayBee, Rite-Aid, CVS, Walgreen's, and Shop-Rite.

I'm sorry to hear that Hasbro killed the line because there are fans and collectors out there that will never be able to collect 'em all.

I'd love it, but that would still leave me three stickers short of an Ark...
