Congratulations--it's good to nab those, they've appreciated significantly. Some are more expensive than vintage lol. I have the Mountaineer, Deep Sea Diver, Green Beret, Mountie, Adventurer customized, and the first German Stormtrooper. Lovely figures. I also used some of the uniform sets, tweaked, to do custom versions of Mouth of Doom, Man of Evil variants, and a 1969 Sears Black Adventurer.

I'd like to get some of the AM Soldiers of the World and the Highlander reissues, but I can't do so while collecting Kenner Six Million Dollar Man. But AM 40th is what enabled me to "finish" more GIJoe 4oth kitbashes and many fun customs, I love the line.

Do you collect any vintage Action Man?

By the way, I really like your Green Beret! I have the Club one and also kitbashed an outpost version. Using the Action Man Machine Gun Emplacement with him is the icing on the cake.

The Action Man 40th range certainly has gone up in price, and I'm glad you were able to get some of them before going in on the Six Million Dollar Man line. I agree that'd be a one-or-the-other kind of thing these days.

I only have two vintage Action Man figures. I have the later issue paratrooper kit on a dynamic body with eagle eyes that is 100% original and a Talking Commander that needs some repair work on the legs before I can display the figure. The uniform on that one will be all vintage, but the pistol and holster have come from some of the GI JOE 40th stuff I have left over from years of collecting that line. I do have one figure that is a vintage eagle eye head on a Geyper Man dynamic body bought through Cotswold Collectibles. Everything else I have is mostly 40th Anniversary Action Man that I bought loose with a little bit of vintage accessories mixed in to finish off the job.

The Green Beret was fun to put together and it's always satisfying to finish off a figure that took months (or years) to cobble together as I did with that one. I have been thinking of doing just what you did and kitbash an outpost version now.

Well, I did the outpost version because I passed on the Club two-pack but still wanted a placeholder. I like the AM Talking Commander, I had that reissue but traded it to 3SB. It's funny that you mention putting a vintage E-E head on a Geyper muscle body--I did that, too, making a Man from Down Under adventurer set: "Quest for the Blood Rubies".

As for vintage Action man, I have the Sea Wolf mini-sub, the Power-Hog ATV, the Machine Gun Emplacement, and figures of Mike Power, Bulletman, the Intruder, Capt. Zargon, and Space Ranger Commander. For Tom Stone, that was a Geyper-inspired kitbash.

Tariffs have derailed me attempting more 1/6 projects.
