Wayne, I read an article in a MTB magazine recently about how many bikes you should own. They had a formula of (N+1) where N is the bikes you already own. It is pretty much correct because a keen cyclist always wants one more

My first bike was a Schwinn, I think. My step-bro had some parts, and put a new banana seat on it, and it had blue mag-wheels that were metal. (He hated fibreglass...) Sadly, it was stolen maybe 2-3 years later. Then I got a Cyclepro Blitz that was red, white, and blue about two years later (when I was 11-12). I rode it around the world a time or two, until I was in Jr. High and got a 10 speed (a Schwinn).

I am also a huge vintage BMX fan.

I am in the process of restoring my original 1985 Skyway TA and my friends 85 Hutch Trick Star that I bought from him 4-5 yars ago.

Would love to get my hands on a nice vintage PK Ripper, Thruster or even a nice Schwinn Mag Scrambler with box bars and the vinyl pads.

Mine came from Sears and was Gold, it can be seen in this picture. I now have to spend some time tracking down it's make and model.

will be great to see some pics when that restore is done

im in the middle of a few restores also, i have 3 raleigh burners and a falcon pro, a super burner mk1 and 2 tuff burners mk1's, 1 is my high end project, ive spent like over £400/$800 on it so far and it dont have any wheels yet lol... it came with bright yellow skyway's and finding a mint pair is proving difficult, lots on the martket have damage or faded.
i think im going to have to settle for a new moulded pair of skyways, exactly the same but there not vintage i was just hoping to put everything vintage old stock on it, its going to be too expensive in the long run

we are in the middle of moving house now and so i have bubble wrapped all my bikes but i will take pics when we are settled and post some up

maybe someone over there in the states can source me some yellow skyway wheels

i had a red grifter too, weighed a ton, used to smash up kerbs as i couldnt lift the front end up

                          was the tonka of bikes

i had attempted to peel off the built in rubber handle bar pad aswell, but that was welded on aswell

i almost bought a black & gold limited ed 1 a few years ago, hit £150 though and was out of my reach at the time

That was the reason I got rid of it, it was so heavy.

Plus I wanted to cycle/fly like in E.T.

I often wondered what bike Elliot had.
As a kid I would have love it, not sure about the Granny Basket
                                though.
If you do get one you'd have to ride around with a
Small child in a bed sheet with holes cut for eyes
                                in the basket.

Eating starburst jelly beans, don't think you can get the real ones over here.
