My Dad bought my first bike at Sears, it was a regular one speed with coaster brakes- yellow with black stripes, black banana style seat with a yellow stripe (Steeler colors!).Had a low sissy bar on the back and those textured grip handles.
Mom told me I couldn't have one, but Dad bought it anyway. Pedalled it up to the top of our hill, flipped it over in the dirt, and busted open my knee which needed 6 stiches. I still have a scar.
Needless to say, Dad was in the doghouse for awhile & I didn't get to ride it too much for a couple weeks.

That Huffy was the first and last bike i was ever bought,i was pretty rough on them.
Most my other bikes were pieced together from other bikes or bought/traded for.One of my later favorites, that i paid 75.00 and some trade items for was a Schwinn Scrambler like the one pictured, only it was yellow and didn't have the Daddy logo. That thing was a beast, heavy as heck compared to the ultralite Redlines, etc. they had later, but it was built like a tank and could take some abuse. The only bike i couldn't tear up.I ended up trading it later for a minibike.

. I could ride a wheelie on that bike for several blocks! And it jumped many a homemade plywood ramp too!
