I Loved these when I was a Kid. I had pretty much all the sets except for the space ones. They fit in well with my star wars and gi joe figures. Pretty much all throughout my toy playing years I had them. I still have some and my niece plays with them all the time. I tell you what those jeeps and vans took a beating from me and they NEVER broke and still look new to this day! Unlike todays toys they were built to last. The adventure people were a HUGE part of my childhood just as much as Star Wars and Gi joe. I loved going on my parents roof and throwing the parachute off of it! Great Post!

Yea, these vehicles did take a beating. We always tied strings to the boats and vans. After a good rain and there was water in the ditches, look out! I can remember running up and down the ditches pull my shark boat. The submarine and deep sea diver set made great bath time toys also.Comment

I had many sets of the Adventure People. I loved the sets that had the scuba divers, not just with the zodiac style boat, but all the sets having to do with scuba. I also had the Trail blazer set with the jeep and canoe. Many hrs of fun back then.Comment

The Space sets came out in the 1980 I never had them just the X-Ray woman. We used to play in a couple places mostly mine or my friends back yard or ClayHill which was behind a building across from my backyard. There was a huge piece of stone we used for a mountain climbing rock there.Comment

Even though I was way into Adventure People circa 1980, I never had a really strong interest in the space toys, I was still very much into the scuba/water sets and car/van sets. Then again I was one of those weird nerdy kids who thought the TV Van playset was just the coolest thing ever, lol. But now as an adult collector I am really intrigued with the space themed toys they made. That photo of the giant display makes my head spin, I adore Fisher Price toys.Comment
