    Favorite classic girl's toys?

We generally tend to focus on stuff like GI JOEs so I thought it would be a kind of a neat change of pace to talk about all great classic toys made for girls. Fun memories of favorite toys from our female collectors (and guys too) of the popular and iconic to the obscure girl's toys of the 60s, 70s and 80s.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

    Hey great!

Speaking as one of the few female members, I had a lot of great dolls as a kid. You guys all know I had Lainie:

I pretty loved any battery operated dolls, which were very popular in the 70s. Among my faves were:

    Baby That-a-way:

    MATTEL Baby That-a-way for parts,restore,complete,Nwork - eBay (item 170537680138 end time Oct-08-10 05:43:39 PDT)

    Hush Lil' Baby:

1975 MATTEL HUSH LIL BABY DOLL 15 INCH UNTESTED - eBay (item 310133602852 end time Oct-26-10 18:08:52 PDT)

I also really love Hair Play dolls like Crissy:

And Tiffany Taylor: (first part of the video):

And I really loved my Malibu Barbie:

    OK, I've bored you enough!

Easy bake Oven. Loved that thing.

The Barbie townhouse from the 70s/80s was pretty cool too.

No, that was awesome! Great toys! Post away. I also remember the Crissy dolls. They're really cool.

Easy bake Oven is a definite classic and very popular with boys. The snow cone machines were also popular with girls and boys. The Barbie Townhouse and Dream house were awesome. Barbie always had the best playsets and vehicles.

You know I love those. She-Ra and Jem had a big cross over with boys because of the great cartoons.

This thread is full of cooties.

But seriously, I remember "borrowing" a dollhouse my sister had to use as Wayne Manor for my Batman and Robin Megos. I also co-oped her Charlies' Angels for rescues, but they were a bit taller than Megos.

I will cop to having She-Ra figures. I was such a MOTU mark, I COULD NOT STOP myself from buying them, although I knew if my friends saw me, my already geeky reputation would escalate to full-on nerd.

I second the Easy Baker Oven

Also, Barbie's Friendship Airplane sometimes landed in Big Jim town

I think Jem is really cool. I always watched the cartoons.

I'm also a big fan of Strawberry Shortcake. I like the character designs and of course, how they smell like fruits and baked goods. I got a few of the new ones from McDonalds for my niece. I'm tempted to start a vintage collection.

She Ra. My brother gave her to me as a Christmas present, probably because my mom knew that she was He-Man's sister.
But since so many girls like horses, I have to mention my Breyer horses. I loved those things!

My Mom collected those for a while. They are really beautiful and well done toys.

The Barbie Traveler, camper, and Jamie Somers' car were what I often borrowed from my younger sister.
