Funny that you mentioned ordering them. Looking through one of the mags I found an order form, letter from the original owner complaining about not receivnig thier order and a response card from Scholastic customer service. Neat stuff.

One of my favorite parts of Dynamite was the Bummers page with the illustrations by Jared Lee. I just did a Google search and turned up this bit of trivia: the editor was Jeanette Kahn, who later became publisher of DC Comics.

Ooh, I found his web site:

Jared Lee - humorous illustrator, equine products, graphic design illustration

Well obviously Dynamite didn't teach anyone to read ...my post from pg 2...
Jenette Khan, former DC Comics' publisher/president, was the one who started up Dynamite magazine...you can sort of see that with all of the comic book connections.

            hehe
            guilty of skimming also.
I read the first line of your post about the superhero origins and the quote about a hero team I never heard of so I skipped to the next one.(figuring the rest of the post was about that team I didnt care about). Also I was at work and trying to read fast and also there was some glare on my screen.
But i didn't get Dynamite to learn how to read anyway, LOL.

            Rich

PS I am home now and went to find the magazines and they aren't on my dresser. I must've put them away somewhere when I was cleaning up and now I can't remember where I put them. LOL
Sucks to get old, doesn't it?
