Not really a "mistake" per se. Just a case of Mego clearing out whatever parts they had left that they could sell as figures. Just as the Aquamans with red torsos and Batman gloves couldn't really be considered mistakes. I'm sure that Mego and the factories were fully aware of what happened, they just didn't care at that point.

Can you look at the foot and see if it looks like a wider T2 foot comapred to a more rounded/pointed end of the Trek boot?

I'm really guessing about the same,unless there's a collector here that really really wants it,I'd say people would pay more for the one with the Batman gloves

value - on ebay its a crapshoot. if TWO people think it is great and are looking then it could go HIGH. If one person or nobody cares - it would probably sell similar to any other carded aquaman.

i think you would do better to set a price that you feel it is worth and try to sell it privately or in the marketplace etc.

Maybe price it a little above a typical frankenaquaman.

gee, it's hard to talk about how to help some value something that I want to buy!

but if I were objective about it, $600 or so is a minty batman glove specimen, I'm not sure that a booted one is more desirable. i would guess $600-700 if card and bubble is minty

now with 3 batman glove moc examples to my knoledge on this forum alone i would say the bootleg version ive found should fetch slightly higher, unless someone posts up a pic of a moc one i think we know that this could be the only one moc ? something to think about eh

interesting semantics here, Meule....can you explain further? you've got some collecting years under your belt, please go more in depth.

would you call the batman glove FrankenAquaMan a "variation"?
and if yes, is it because of the visible nature of the oddity? or something else?

hmm the way we use the word variant or variation could be used differently by others i suppose

examples of the franken ive found so far are

standard franken normal aqua on supes card
batman blue glove
red hand and red torso
light tan torso
sewn on belt
bootleg

yeah i suppose you could call these "examples" of a franken... or you could call them variants

remember back in the day when you had the 95 star wars figures out, a tusken raider had a open hand, bobba fett a half circle, leia had a different notch on her belt... all very slight and minor differences... they are known as rare variants, so i dont see the difference here
as bry said a bright blue pair of gloves dont exactly blend in, it stands out

if you saw the bootleg version in he flesh you can see the difference right away
plus to my knoledge im the only one to have brought up the bootleg issue, another member has said he had bought a loose one many years ago and thought nothing of i but we have not seen a pic, mine is moc.
also no one seems to have mentioned a light tan torso before, agreed they sure threw allsorts into the aqua pot when they were putting these together

up til now there was thought to be around 4 variants... my toystalking experteze blew that theory up
