    aquaman in boots ?

is it me... but it does appear that the aquaman on the left hand side is sporting a pair of boots underneath his costume?

looks to be a molded on leg type boot like the trek dolls or other ?

what you guys recon, im sorry for the pics, my cam is not the best at picking up the details but in the flesh i can clearly see they are a pair of boots of sorts ?

take a look, i have taken pics of the aquaboot doll alongside a regular aqua leg version
    interesting... yet another franken variation?

wow! I don't know about the trek ones cause it would be a little longer and with a heel, but it does look to be a boot in there.Very cool

I wouldn't be surprised if Mego did use leftover Star Trek crew legs for these late produced figures.

Very interesting, those very well could be Trek legs. The height of the boot is about right (I just checked one of my Trek figures)

Sure looks like it. Trek lower legs are all black, but the actual boot sculpt begins at the top of the calf.

          If so, nice discovery!

intriguing indeed! it does and doesn't look like a boot at the same time.....maybe it's a secret fortune cookie note wrapped around his leg!

In the later years it would be so like Mego to incorporate bits and piece of other lines into the WGSH

I'd be ticked if I spent a couple of hundred on a carded Aquaman and then find out that he had the wrong legs.

I wouldn't be surpised to see STAR TREK booted legs appear, These were the end for MEGO and they were ridding them selves of all remaining parts so who knows what you may find. If you do decide to open it please do it at MEGO MEET so the MEGO woeld may find out first hand

Those are Trek boot legs. I got a loose Aquaman a few years back in a lot of stuff who suffered from the same malady. I thought it was just some parts bashing going on...looks like it might have been a factory mistake now that I've seen this picture.

I've seen a loose Spidey like this too...Again, I assumed parts bashing...now...who knows

In the 70s (or early 80's) you are right - I'd be annoyed if I bought it for 3 or 4 bucks and found out it had the wrong legs.

But today - It makes it a unique aquaman aka frankenaquaman and the very reason for its appeal is its oddity. So anyone willing to spend the couple hundred would probably be delighted with this.

and toystalker - don't open it.
