I also just noticed under my avatar that I'm now persistent. I don't really see myself as persistent, more of a relaxed participant. in fact rather like a large hobbit.

I have no prob looking a Mego gifthorse in the mouth if it's my dollar ultimately paying for it

Not trying to argue with you and maybe I'm even misunderstanding you but Mego did have a few Toothy figures.

            ScottA.,

Some people like me are happy, but also want these to do so well we keep getting them for years to come, wave after wave. Can't we share concerns over things like compatibility style/sculpt/scale wise? Can't we want these to do so well, that without knowing how well these are doing financially for the company, worry character selection could cause a premature END of the line. Can't a fan of FTC complain about QC issues, scale issues, character selection, without being "Haters" or because we're just ****** & moaning just regardless of what's shown. I spent so much $$$ on FTC, & want to continue to do so, for 100s of figures if they put out things that are compatible with Mego repros FTC started with? I don't know if the FTC New figure's style will be consistent with new upgrades of WGSH yet, but am hoping for similar scaled heads moving forward. Big heads have affected sales of other re-mego lines, from what I have read many times here & on other sites, like BBP SMDM & BSG for example. Am I missing something here Scott? Has the climate changed here now that there's a partnership with info from FTC coming in to the MM? I want this line to do VERY well, & would love to buy x2 of every WGH, Super Friends, Batman 66, & many other lines. Should I just keep buying & not express any concerns or give feedback unless I love everything I see? I'm confused here? I really am.

HouseofDracula: yes, Joker smiling, Hulk's gnashing his teeth, Riddlers smirk look appropriate to me. FTC SUPER FRIENDS Superman & FTC Super Boy just look different to me. The comic pictures of Superboy that FTC sent along doesn't look like the figure prototype pictured to me. Maybe they can find comic or Superfriends pictures that more closely match the prototypes shown to show the accuracy to the source material? Can't they make smiling figures a little less "Say Cheese!"? < I'm kidding a little, but people are expressing disappointment about this on FB on FTC's page. It isn't something only 1 or 2 of us are seeing as off putting.

I don't know what FTC's plan is, but the company probably does have one with its releases. Maybe one of the ideas is to get some of the more mundane characters out early and protecting the brand by holding some characters that might be bigger sellers for later? or maybe they throw darts at the wall? I don't know. But two popular/important characters paired with two less popular characters but still desirable characters to huge fans of the franchise makes sense. FTC is selling the figures individually so it's not cramming a figure down anyone's throats. You can buy the figures you want and skip the others. Yeah, I would have liked to have seen Brainiac and Parasite or Doomsday and Cyborg Superman in this wave.
But I'm assuming Brianiac is being held for the Super Friends/Legion of Doom line along with the Legion of Doom version of Luthor. I don't know about the others. They man not even be in consideration.

But yeah, I want Ma and Pa Kent, Thomas and Martha Wayne, young Bruce Wayne Jor-El and Lara and the Flying Graysons. Heck if FTC makes Hal Jordan's three brothers and the Lt. Marvels, I'll get them, too. I realize I'm in the minority, but it looks like there is a possibility FTC will service those type of desires for the line as well as the major characters.

As far as the line failing, well, it's going to happen at some point, but what FTC has going for it is that there is no one above its own management making demands or setting sales standards that have to be met like Mattel's remego figures. It was fantastic to see the first couple of Mattel waves in Toys R Us, but that also meant more pressure for sales. Without the blockbuster sales, it was a pretty easy decision for a suit in management to pull the plug on the line.

As for the smiles, I'd rather the figures have more static facial sculpts, but I don't mind a smiley Superboy, particularly since the head looks to be in scale to me. If you look at covers from the 60s and 70s there's a lot of smiling Superbly art from Neal Adams to Mike Grell to Garcia Lopez's promotional art and style guide. The head does look photoshopped on the body in the ad so maybe it will come out better looking. We'll just have to see.

What does concern me more than character choice is - as others have mentioned - that we've seen all these previews but very few of what's been announced is up for pre-order. But as long as they're not collecting money without delivering, there's no true harm.

Ok, so that is suppose to be Superboy not Superman. Thank God....because man, that is one GOOFY looking head sculpt. Lex on the other hand looks GREAT! Can't see me buying Ma & Pa Kent though. Gotta agreed with Hue...they should have gone with something that would sell, like Metallo and Parasite.

it seems to be that Ma and Pa Kent would be better as an exclusive with a playset of some type. maybe they could even use the Waltons farmhouse, LOL. but an easier thing would be a cardboard diorama. I also agree the goofy smiles should go. I thought the Dukes looked bad enough with the smiles but it is even worse on the heroes, who will be smiling like loons while they pound some villain

It would be nice to add a set of Legion figures like Mon-el , Shadow lass, Wildfire and Timber Wolf. I would also like The Guardian, or Steel, but it looks like FTC is
more into the civilians right now so I expect Lori the Mermaid, and Jor-el

LOL, Lori might be a bit obscure to have a figure but yeah I could see them doing Jor-el and maybe Zod as 2 of a future wave

You would think General Zod, Jor-El,and Brainiac would come before Ma and Pa Kent. But Superman is played out in my book anyway. I want an Aquaman wave with Black Manta, Mera, and Ocean Master.

While Ma & Pa Kent aren't exactly at the top of my wish list, I celebrate FTC's willingness to delve into lessor known character choices rather than only doing the predictable ones.

Ma and Pa Ken go back to Superman's beginning and have a lot of weight in the Superman universe. I think they are great choices to start with, we need more bad guys for the next wave, Metallo and Brainiac.
