I'm really excited about Superboy and Luthor but Ma and Pa Kent? Who wants those two old geezers?!

Look FTC...if you're gonna pay somebody to sculpt heads, at LEAST get them to sculpt heads of COOL characters.

Instead of figures that spend their time baking cookies and rubbing Aspercreme all over themselves, give us some SUPER VILLAINS!

          Like these guys...

FTC is certainly making an impressive exploration into the DC license. I really like the belt on Superboy. Looks like a solid design. Lex looks properly evil as well.

The only thing I can think of is that FTC must have some huge capital/"nest-egg money for a slow burn" to "explore" so much.

Will Ma Kent and Pa Kent really be a tight idea compared to Metallo and Parasite? Heck.... if you're gonna do the Smallville/Waltons approach, then why make Leisure Suit Luthor when you can make a Lana Lang figure? Seems wonky. Guess it's the ol' "Milk the LOD Luthor head" approach.

Great looking Superboy and Luthor' headsculpt looks fantastic. I will probably hold off on Luthor until a different costume version comes out.

Love how FTC is not afraid to go outside of the "safe" character choices. Interested to see the Kents. Hoping for a Glen Ford style Pa.

Just for the record... it IS indeed amazing to see these characters all primed for released to some extent---I suppose Ma/Pa pics are coming soon.

Maybe this wave is a sign that things are going really well.

I mean, if you can release such iconic characters in such "pedestrian" wardrobe and feel comfy with it, there's a good chance it's happening in the spirit of "Things WGSH-style releases are going so well, ANY decently-recognized character will give a profit whether it looks exciting or not"

Man, that would be a disappointment-----I'd like to see them stay within one interpretation-----in this case: comicbook styleguide Mego-era.

Altho' your idea is amusing in that it'd fit RIGHT in line with Mego's 12 inch Zod/Luthor/Jor-El releases as far as combining movie and comicbook elements.

                        You're being polite, Huedell.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when in the history of Megoesque action figures has civilians been the big sellers?

History shows Lex Luthor has always been a horrendous mover. Even the RA Luthor - which is exponential degrees better than this one - was a TRU pegwarmer. Pocket Mego Luthor was like a toy aisle curse. STAS Luthor rotted at KB in the 90's. Super Powers Luthor was probably the best seller of the bunch, and even he was the most common.

                        I guess if you're producing a such limited quantities...but even then, what's the break-even?

I'm readily falling into the "not all of this will actually make it to market" camp. They're asking for at least 500 per person in new figures for this fall/winter.

I've always been a big Superman fan, he was my first WGSH mego, (Kirk and Spock were my very first mego's)
my personal opinion on this wave 3 series, not liking Superboy (sorry) small chest logo and silly A** smile,
                          like some toothpaste commercial.

Ma and Pa Kent I have mixed feelings on, although we haven't seen those yet so I'll hold off on any judgement,
I did predict those might be in the wave 3 series, although maybe two new villians would have been better
like Parasite and Brainiac to add to Luthor.

With wave 2 soon to come out, Clark-Lois-Jimmy and Perry White are nice additions all Daily Planet people
in the future I would like to see a Daily Planet news truck and a old fashion car for Ma and Pa Kent.

When has civilians been big sellers? How about Alfred and Jim Gordon? Both of those from FTC are sold out,so someone out there must want them.

^I hope these still sell well. I'm going to buy one of each to be supportive but man bring on the other super-heroes and villains already!

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge FTC fan and love most of what they're doing but I think two civilian-heavy waves of Superman figures in a row is a little...well, Super-BORING.

The line is called World's Greatest HEROES not World's Greatest Co-Workers and Family Members.

IMO, characters like these make good exclusives...completists will want them but your average collector won't feel like they've missed out on anything if they either can't or decide not to get them.
