Your right on the civilians being big sellers, I don't know how Jimmy-Lois and Perry will sell, but I know I will
be getting those, God help my credit/debit card.
I like the Superboy head. Pretty sure it's based off Neal Adams art, not saying it's a dead ringer, but it's based on it. I like Luthor, too. I would have rather seen other Superman characters at this point, but I do want Ma and Pa Kent figures. Would rather have had Jor-el and Lara, but I guess Ma and Pa fit Superboy better. A teen Luthor might have been fun with this grouping or Lana. But, I'll get them all.
With Ma and Pa Kent, a repro Waltons truck is in order.
If FTC wanted to go with the Smallville version of Jonathan Kent, a repaint of the blond Duke boy would work, lol.
I can't believe these back to back Superman Waves are so NON-Hero & NON-villain heavy! I just think some spacing out of these civilians would have provided more exciting waves! I need more Villains & Heroes to reignite my excitement for the "WGH" line! I was perfectly fine with Lois Lane & Jimmy Olsen, but the Kents would have been way down on my list. If we didn't get the Kents, the easily available (& pretty cheap) Ma & Pa Waltons (I already have) would have been a easy substitute, not to mention would have hopefully allowed COOL colorful Super Foes to be produced. I don't want to miss out on a great # of dynamic Villains in 70s style Mego-y form, because FTC is "peppering" the line with supporting civilians (regardless of their importance to the story). Like I said, Lois & Jimmy O. were perfect to accompany Clark, I just wish Luthor was in wave 3 & FTC waited a wave or two before more supporting cast members. I know Ma & Pa were more prominent than Metallo & Parasite, but play time with my nephews & grandson would be far more exciting with a band of NEW Super Foes to me!
As for the 2 prototypes:
LEX = Looks GOOD!
SUPER BOY = BAD! I hate these TEETHY figures & it makes me want to skip x2 Superboy figs.
*FTC - What is with this new TEETHY approach to "Mego" style figures that Mego never made?
The Farrow is HIT & MISS with me. The BIG HEADS (& style/sculpt) on Alfred, Comm. Gordon, Bizarro & the style/sculpt on 66 Riddler, Super Friends Superman, Superboy, ect. have me losing excitement for these FTC retro lines....repeatedly. I wish we were getting some nice updates on Mego's WGSH, the WGSH repros (just need Isis now!), & New figures that looked in style/sculpt/scale like Mego released them later on (like Thor/Mr. Fantastic style detail). I feel these NEW FTC characters are hit & miss, with some of them departing so far off from the Mego aesthetic. Just my opinion of course. Meaning, I love the 66 detail for that TV show line, but am concerned other than cloth costumes, some of my most anticipated releases are not so Mego-y to me (like Bizarro, Gordon, Super-Teethy-Boy, Alfred). I'm a little confused by how many incompatible lines I'll want to collect, & if so many of my MOST DESIRED DC Heroes & Villains (would want x2 each of 100+) will ever see a possibilty of being proposed or released. But I sincerely HOPE these sell well & my fears are unfounded, & we'll start getting MEGO-like DC Heroes & Villains for years to come! I wonder if the profit margin is high enough per figure that they don't even NEED to sell through some characters/Waves (ex. Batman wave 2/Superman Wave 1) to make plenty of $$$ to keep the license, & get out so many more Heroes & especially Villains!
Sorry Guys for my Rant Fest!

A Superboy and three founding members of the Legion would be better and a sure seller.
This, is a big hit or miss.
I'll wait on Luthor...I have the RA Luthor, and this one doesn't do anything for me.
Now if the release a Super Powers backed Card Luthor, in Power Suit, that's a DEFINITIVE BUY!
Superboy....pass. Pa and Ma... Pass. What's next...Thomas and Martha Wayne? Sterling Morris? Vulko?
FTC should start taking a page from Mattel... When they started making characters in the DC Universe line
Nobody wanted, they warmed pegs and killed the line.

I like the sculpts. My FB feed expressed a lot of disappointment from others pouring out about another FTC head with an open mouth. It sure seems an unpopular move, but I've been on this board long enough to know there's no way to satisfy everyone about toys much less anything else.

^Agree! I especially like the idea of a Super Powers "Power Suit" Lex Luthor Figure!
I also liked this about Retro Action (definitely my 1 FAVORITE thing about RA); I like the HERO vs VILLAIN wave format. I'd even LOVE a FTC: Hero vs 2-3 Villans per wave!
I liked RA releases character wise (despite ALL the other inherent problems I had w/ the RA figures):
Wave 1: Superman + Green Lantern vs. Lex Luthor + Sinestro
Wave 2: Batman + Aquaman vs. Two-Face + Black Manta
Wave 3: Wonder Woman + Flash vs. Cheetah + Captain Cold
Wave 4: Shazam + Martian Manhunter vs. Black Adam + Darkseid
Exclusives: Green Arrow, GL John Stewart + GL Guy Gardner + GL Kyle Raynor + Sinestro Corp. Sinestro (4/5 Variants were unique characters!)
Now I don't expect FTC to follow that exact recipe, BUT I would LOVE a Wave like: WGH: Flash vs x3 Rogues!
Obviously FTC: could (& should) include some Civilians & S.I. figs., But it would be awesome to space out some civilians after getting some long awaited Heroes & many Villains for those of us collectors who LOVE the PLAY value of these DC FTC WGH figures, as well as figures that make for great Displays (supporting cast!) As I said half jokingly before, it seems like Superman wave 2 & 3 are more like a FTC: WGSoH line! (World's Greatest Supporters of Heroes!). I just like the feeling old MEGOs gave me as a child, exciting colorful Heroes & Super Foes......& I always wished we had more Super Foes when I was a wee lad in the 70s (through early 80s)! Plus if they are going for these much more comic detailed figures (Bizarro, Comm. Gordon, Scarecrow, Ras Al Ghul, Alfred, Jimmy O., Perry White, ect.), it seems ODD that for Lois Lane, FTC &/or The Farrow decided they needed to stay true to the Mego look & went with the Super Gals HEAD shape/size/style. Hopefully with Mary Marvel, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn & other unannounced upcoming female characters, they go with a new Mego-Style female head sculpts! Then I hope the badly needed update WW, Catwoman, Supergirl & Batgirl will incorporate more comic based 70s style heads.......like Mego went with Marvel's Invisible Girl! I think if they continue to make big Super Gal styled heads for all the upcoming FTC female WGH figures, they will definitely stand out horribly against the newly stylized male heads. Lois looks weirdly dated when compared to Jimmy O & Perry White IMHO. So I'm just confused as to what's going on with the style of the WGH line.
I do have hope that the shown SUPER FRIENDS FTC cards will produce waves of Heroes vs Villains in equal numbers per wave, as RA did! Hopefully future WGH waves will do this as well. I just hope the customers don't get frustrated by too many civilians in the WGH line after Superman waves 2 & 3, & move onto other toy lines before some awesome WGH & JLA waves come out with the Heroes & Villains so many fans will be excited to see & buy! I could be in the minority on this, without a poll, I just go by what my friends & I are thinking/saying. I'm hopefully worried for nothing & all will be fine! My wish is for years of frequent waves full of the main & obscure Heroes/Villains that would be so AWESOME in this format!

I actually think no matter what they announce people here will ***** instead of just being happy Megos are back, big heads and all.
I can't see looking a Megohorse in the mouth either Scott. I'm super excited Megos are back in such a big way! I kind of thought after the Emce Retro Action that other company would steer clear of the brand. Glad FTC is making them.
