Hmmm. One of the biggest advantages of an 18" (1/4 scale) figure is the ability for more detail in costuming, sculpt, and accessories. I'm personally not interested in larger versions of the 8" figures. And price? If FTC's 12" figures are $60, I'd imagine these will be at least $100 each.
Excellent point. I collect Hot Toys figures for the INCREDIBLE detail and quality. I love Mego because I grew up with them and the 8" scale...why would I want identical versions only bigger? I don't understand the philosophy behind this??sigpicComment

8 inch, 12 inch, now 18 inch, it's getting ridiculous the taller the figure the higher
the prices go, when will they start making the life size Mego WGSH? instead of
remaking bigger what they already have, I'm sure they can come up with something
new, like repro Starsky and Hutch or WGSH not made yet.Comment

Don't tell anyone, but the word on the street is that next week there's going to be a slight variation in the texture of the oven mitts that will flat blow your mind. I'm hoping they go super crazy and double down with both matte and semi-gloss.Comment

I'll join the chorus vocalizing against blown up versions of the 8" figures. A missed opportunity to create some really detailed sculpts and costumes. I'd only be interested in a Spider-Man, and since FTC doesn't have the Marvel license that won't be happening.Comment

I like the Robin, and plan to get him if he looks like the prototype figure. New eight inch ones don't look like the original, so this is better. As far as new characters, if the large ones sell well, they might make ones Mego never made. If you want an eighteen inch Apache Chief, this is probably why they can make him. They couldn't make a giant body for just one figure. Molds are way too expensive for that. I predict Apache Chief in the new 18" format coming soon!Comment
