Really enthusiastic about White Elephant's upcoming new ape figures!

I've bought two of their apes so far (one of which glows in the dark!) and really like them both. So I definitely welcome more!

As an aside, I was going to buy one of those female bodies when, for a long time, it was listed on their website for, I think, $10, under the name "Lena." I had one in my cart in their online store for months, just waiting for White Elephant to release some new figures that I'd buy. And then one day, maybe a month ago or so, that "Lena" listing was removed entirely from their online store. I was kind of surprised. Now I know why!

The burlap-like mesh on several of these new figures definitely reminds me of the vintage Mego PotA astronauts.

My only dilemma (to resolve by Tuesday): the new ape I like the best has the same head as one of their prior apes that I already own....

Lastly, the clothes on the Argos ape remind me of those the astronaut Peter Burke wore on the PotA TV show 50 years ago.

Thank you once again for a very enjoyable ToyVentures Weekly!

Javier and I were pleased to be informed today that Big Lots has reopened some stores. There's one not too far from me! I will report back on whether or not it has the same panache in its new form.

I gotta tell you, this is the first place I drop the newsletter link each and every time.

It's because you folks rock and actually discuss it and we are both grateful to know somebody appreciate it, thank you.

Shindana Slade! One of my personal holy grails. In my experience, perpetually rare and elusive and, when I have seen one for sale, always at a price much higher than my personal 'max' price. I had no trouble at all getting an excellent condition OJ Simpson by Shindana and got lucky once to get an excellent Dr. J as well. But I'm coming to grips with the strong likelihood that Slade may remain just out of my grasp....

I also thought that Bullseye custom was particularly excellent!

Thank you again for a great weekly newsletter that I very much enjoyed!

Wow! The Toy-Ventures Weekly was just what I needed after a pretty rough 24 hours. From the Fantastic Four coverage (I love Johnny's red suit), the Superman toys, the customs, to the difference between words and deeds which I echo, what an amazing newsletter. Thanks for the hard work that makes this possible!
