A quick scan through some of the galleries reminded me just how much info there is in this wonderful place. That said, there is always room for improvement and that usually happens over time here.
That's why I went with the David Abrams era. I'd love to see more examples of the company's philosophy through those years. It feels like a different company in the pre-licensing era.
That and a small cereal-box type toy with every visit.WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.Comment

I just voted for Speed Burners. At some point in time and when and if possible I think that it would be neat to see something about Speed Burners. I had some as a kid and would like to learn more about these in the future. Thanks for the opportunity and thanks once again for all of the great work that you have done and continue to do.Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009
Too much space. Need more toys!

I went with speed burners, but could just have easily gone with games or David Abram stuff. None of the others interest me.Comment

Brian, I would prefer that we continue the great efforts to improve existing galleries. A lot of great progress has been made, but there is still some low hanging fruit.
A lot of the other stuff listed in the poll does not belong in MM IMO.Comment

I voted for the games, mainly because Brian and I have talked about it for years now. I do plan to help with this. But I would also like to see the celebrity line expanded and speed burners added.
I for one believe that if this is to be "THE" Mego Museum it should include all things Mego. So I'd love to see everything listed in the poll mentioned in one form or another. I know not everyone agrees that there should be a Clown Around Gallery with all 81 clowns listed but if we are truly trying to make this the best Mego resource in the world then stuff like that must be considered.sigpic WANTED: Boxed, Carded and Kresge Carded WGSHComment

The current galleries are already constantly being updated and improved, so I went with the David Abrams stuff. With all the WGSH, POTA, Star Trek and other action figures you'd almost forget that's not how Mego started. He started the company in the early 50's I believe, but checking the galleries you'd think Mego was founded in the eary 70's. I think we need more info and pics from that 20 year period in between. After all this is the Mego Museum, not the Mego Action Figure Museum"...The agony of my soul found vent in one loud, long and final scream of despair..." - Edgar Allan PoeComment

improvements
I can't say that any of the new sections listed are of great interest to me. So I have opted for improving existing galleries.
I'm not sure I have the solution for how to do this. Maybe its more content in each, whether that's more photos of the figures, or more anecdotal information.

ps.
Brian, I miss your smiling ice cream cake avatar. At least I think that's what it was : )Comment

I voted for the celebs. As one of the few women on this site, I remember playing w/ my friend's Cher set, and Diana Ross doll. And also I would like to see the oddities like Lainie. Was that Mego's only mechanical doll?"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

I went with the celebs too. While it doesn't interest me much there are a lot of people out there that do enjoy it so it would probably bring some more new members here.Comment

Voted for the Celebs...only thing on the list that I could see myself collecting.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

I went with Fighting Yank as well. Action Jackson is the first born child of the 8 inch line in my opinion, but Fighting Yank (with his outfits) is the Father, and the missing link between GI Joe and Action Jackson. Maddie Mod would have to be the Mother of the line following that logic as well.
Of course I wouldn't object to the Celebrity line either, they would have more mass appeal and reflect the heyday of Mego.
