Southern Ontario Toy and Comic Shows

Just came back from the Buffalo show. Really good turn out, the aisles were packed at times. Pretty good selection of vintage toys too. I saw the Mayor Ford figure in person, he looked great! Lots of Buffalo people knew who he was too of course. We made sure that Ed got his Teds hot dogs too. That boy can eat!

I wasn't sure I could make it yesterday but I'm glad I did. Met some new folks who lurk here, had a fun time touring the city with Chris (whom I made accompany me in the search for socks, i am a ball of excitement) and it was great seeing Matt and Ed at the show.

I've put together a video I'll cobble together this week about the show, it was smaller but had some nice stuff.

doing the Southern Ontario Tour these past few months, that's the one thing that has really struck me. The number of lurkers that I've met. There are really super cool folks out there who've been silently hangin' out with us!

The drive back solo was a bit scary, had to stop a few times to wake myself up since I had such an early morning start and spent the day on my feet chatting and sketching. Shout-out to Chris for hosting me and providing a tasty caffeinated beverage.

Also ridiculously grateful to Chris and Brian for bringing me Ted's, and glad they had a location in Cheektowaga.

Awesome that MonsterMatt was able to score a table at the last minute. He'll be with us at the GTA Comic Con in one month's time, and at MEGO NORTH 2 in September!

And you didn't even find any, how anticlimactic! And kudos to me for getting us lost on the way to the show in a town that I really should be way more familiar with than it turns out I am. I'm gonna blame that 10 minute freak snow storm!

I was happy that you could stop by my place and chat for a while! Don't worry, you didn't really scare my kids, they act like that with anyone they don't really know. They're so friendly! Glad you made it home ok. Teds are everywhere, I would have been surprised if they didn't have one in Cheektowaga.
