Just got finished logo from drcyclops today...Thank you! I will be contacting capnMike tomorrow about going ahead with t-shirts and what the down payment costs are. I was thinking a light, light blue shirt with black logo to keep costs down but I dunno yet (to me white shirts stain and fade so easily, maybe we can have two colors available?) I'm thinking hitting the minimum pre-order of 24 shirts won't be a problem (pre-order interest is already at 15 shirts and counting). May do more... 36? I will do my best to have shirts made to size, work out those details in a little bit. And SeattleEd, I think official color stickers would be a grand idea. Bumper sticker size, roughly, yes? Flyers/posters will be made up in b&w and color I'm sure. Stickers and color posters on thicker cardstock can be sold at cost for fun. T-shirts I hope to be reasonably priced but I want capnMike to feel reimbursed for his work on that and it his call on final selling price after he and I crunch the numbers. Breaking even is the goal, without distracting from the fun of gathering with like-minded people.
When this informal Mego-Eat was literally thrown together (thank you Lonnie for naming it!) I had no idea such creative dudes would be putting awesome shirts and posters together for me to orchestrate with such a stunning logo. I am a happy enabler right now! I will work hard to make this gathering worthwhile for mego fans...
P.S. Just saw Pmwasson's offer to make and hand out vinyl stickers. Do you mean of the official logo? Yes, and Let's talk! And by the way, I know a lot of customs dudes are coming so make and bring anything you want! Drcyclops has graciously handed me ownership of his labor intensive mego-eat design but if you wanna make a vinyl sticker of it, pmwasson, send me a pm and let's do it! In the spirit of things, I wanna keep everything attainable for those attending so we can talk costs in our pm. I wouldn't mind reimbursing you for your costs and making those stickers freebies for attendees if we can swing that.Last edited by mikeMc6; Jan 17, '13, 2:27 AM.INEPT VINTAGE WISENHEIMER

Mike, does it look like individual tables will be setup for folks? Or just one big long table to share and be gregarious?
Vote for light blue or turquoise tee with black or black tee with white. XL and M.
This is getting to be very exciting. Thanks to all for making this happen.Comment

In response to SeattleEd, I was thinking one long table for dining and socializing in the center of restaurant with tables surrounding the long dine table that include a Customs in Progress section and Help, maybe a for-sale/swap table of finished customs and vintage mego, and another table displaying my collection and any others who wish to bring stuff (under glass in a sealed display cases). There seems to be a core group of 8-10 mm members most likely attending. Include spouses, partners and some kids and we already got 14-20 probables. I really don't expect this event to attract no more than 20 mm members max (if that), which is fine with me as that could push those attending to 40+ (partners and kids) and we will start getting scrunched for mego toy/custom space beyond that. Like I said before, I've never done this before so I don't mind it small just so i can get to know everyone!
Next year we can go big! This restaurant is real nice, though cozy for a party of 45, and I'd be hard pressed to find another quality restaurant that would give us the run of their place for a private party.
And I assume when you say M and XL, is that what you hope to order T-shirt wise?INEPT VINTAGE WISENHEIMER

My official order is two shirts. Please, one small and one extra-small. Light blue shirts would look way better than black. Spidey would look funny with white web detail.Comment

I strongly vote "no" on white on black!
This looks better.

Thank you Lonnie!
I see this done to my work all the time. Just saddens me how some comissioners are so satisfied with it. Had I known this was the direction they wanted to go, I could have reworked image for a negative print design.
Anyone want to see how to do white on black the correct way? It's not a lot of work.Comment
