Not quite the answer to the original question, but I am thrilled that I have so much Re-Mego including a Sulu and Chekov.
      It's all good!

I realized I should ad for original Mego: Neptunian. As a kid I never liked it because there was no such thing from the show, but now that I have the guy, he is quite the charming little figure with the molded feet and hand gloves, etc.
        It's all good!

I had never seen KISS figures up until a week ago until I saw Paul, Gene and Ace at a local flea market. Ending up getting all three for a great price...now I have to find Peter...sigh!

I think early on (meaning 20 years ago) when I started really digging into retro collecting, I never thought I would own a Ideal Captain Action in the box. That was before Ebay and before people started seriously going through their attics. In those days, some figures cost ALOT more because they were less common place. Now so much of that has changed. So many figures that were once considered scarce are now easily picked up...often for a song. You also have the reverse effect as well. Alot of figures that were once thought to be plentiful, are now high valued items. But for me Captain Action was truly my first Holy Grail moment. Then CA with the Batman outfit. And then... well. Many a grail has fallen since then. I think the most recent grail was the Kid Action Robin, which I acquired on this board about 18 months ago. Now that's probably something I didn't think I would ever find in it's entirety. He's rare enough that he stands in my work office and watches over me.

Just like MIB41, it's a Captain Action piece. My Silver Strek with the box is the pinnacle of my CA collection.

Not Mego, but a Kenner Jamie Sommers with the bionic beauty salon. Got them as part of a lot that also included Steve Austin and the bionic transport & repair station. Only paid twenty something bucks for these. Surprisingly, this stuff's still in decent condition. I was mostly interested in the bionic transport. Now I have three Steve Austin figures(one is the bionic grip).

Like Rich Handley mentioned in his books, you turn 40 and all of sudden it's Go Ape! time again,

As if a Silver Soldier wasn't enough... just another 5 to add to the list.

BTW, as I've been lurking for a few months, but just recently joined... greetings all; what you have here is pretty damn cool and special. Not only is information and resources shared, but the custom works are entirely motivational. Has me spending more time in the studio with Mego-goodness, than on the canvas lately. Fortunately the paint crosses-over just fine.
Oh! You have the CIPSA bug. It's catchy. And welcome aboard! This is the best place on the planet if you have even a small touch of the MEGO fever.

I think my own contribution to this thread is that I never imagined that I would own any boxed Lili Ledys (other than MXY), and pretty much had written off the chance that any would ever show up anywhere (other than those not for sale in a few locked closets around the globe), and BAM! that all changed in the past year.

I never thought I would be into the Mego Flash Gordon line,I always thought they were too big, then scored a Zarkov and thought these figures are awesome, loads of detail and accessories,a carded Dale Arden I got next then a Ming,I was bitten by Flash big time,he is the only figure I need to complete the line, besides the playset, which I think will be a hard one to get complete.

At first it was a cool novelty, but it's actually a neatly done piece. I wish I had it complete, though and in better condition.
IIRC, there was a real life JJ Armes. Used to drive my parents nuts bugging them for that figure. Never did get one.
