What two Marvel characters would you add to WGSH?

Hypthetically speaking, if you could travel back in time and inject two Marvel characters into 1978, who would they be?

My selections are pretty selfish and are not chosen because they would have "sold better", in fact they may have sold worse!

    #1 Spider-Woman
With her (terrible) animated series Mego may have sold a few of her briefly . If I know myself I'd have circled the aisle staring at her but would have actually purchased her in the 1980s sometime.....

    #2 Mysterio

I think he'd have been a peg warmer but he's my personal favourite Spider-Man villain.

    I would have to say:
    Werewolf By Night
    Tomb Of Dracula
Like Brian, these are selfish choices, not money makers.

I think Spider-Women would have been a good choice, easy use of the female figure with wonder woman hair.
My next choice would be a toss up between Red Skull and Ghost Rider. But without a bike Ghost Rider woulld be kinda lame, so I guess Red Skull would be the better choice. They needed more bad guys anyway.

But then how cool would a Doctor Doom would have been, oh the choices

I like Brian's pick of Spider-Woman for '78...Marvel was really pushing her as "one of the boys" (Spider-Man, Hulk, Captain America) in little merchandising campaigns.

For a 2nd choice I think I'd go with either Dr. Strange or The Silver Surfer, both make sense in the scheme of things...

Although the Spider Woman and Werewolf by Night choices would be great--I'd have loved to have seen them made--I'm going to go with Power Man and Captain Mar-Vell.

I also think they needed more bad guys. Dr. Doom - because he's the baddest of the bad guys. And The Abomination - because Hulk needs someone to fight.

It's interesting to compare what we might like as opposed to what Mego might have done.

I'd choose Dr. Doom & Dr.Octopus, with the Red Skull as a default.

All three pair with existing figs, and they tie-in with Marvel TV atthe time.

                  I can't fault your choice of Spider-Woman, though--that would've been a sweet figure.

(And darn FC for not doing a better version so we could bash it!)

Dr. Doom absolutely should have been made with the FF - the Red Skull
would have been great since Capt. America was a top seller - but he
is a problematic character because of the Nazi background.

Spider-Woman WAS very present in licensed images by 1980 BUT since
females don't sell well, they probably would not have done her without
a TV show. Firestar and Iceman had a better chance of being added to
the line-up instead of Spider-Woman and Silver Surfer.

Abomination would be interesting but Rhino would have been more
likely since he was a Hulk AND Spider-Man villian.

Spider-Woman had a cartoon that ran one season staring in 1979...

I like a lot of the choices so far.

Dr. Strange would have been a great Mego if they did it with the same care and attention they did Thor and Conan.

Captain Marvel, because I always loved that costume.

I agree on both counts and the Fan 4 really did need Dr. Doom too.
