What two Marvel characters would you add to WGSH?

My 1978 "dream" wave, ostensibly the last Mego would have created:

Flash

Green Lantern

Dr. Doom

Dr. Octopus or Red Skull

Spider-Woman

Daredevil or Dr. Strange


And in my fantasies, the Superman movie line is 8-inch.

considering the lack of marvel villains, I'd vote for red skull and dr. doom.

While i'm for Dr Doom and Spiderwoman as a Glaring omission and a great tie-in for the time. I really think they Should have made Cyclops and Magneto (or Wolverine) and with the popularity of the X-Men rising during that time, it would have saved the company.

Personally, I'd want red Sonja, but I don't think the body stocking look would have been done very well of the period. Mar-Vell was one of my favorites, but he really had no media exposure outside of comics, and wouldn't have sold.

Lou ferogno hulk would have been great.

I think Doom is the really obvious missing character, not only as the FF bad guy, but he was the top villain of the Marvel U of that time. And since marvel was kind of villain deficient, I agree about red skull to take on Cap and the Falcon.

As far as eight inch figures...no doubt in my mind...Silver Surfer and Dr Doom.

Namor as a third choice...

I don't think Wolverine was super popular in the 70s...so perhaps not him as of yet.

But in today's world?

No doubt...Wolverine trumps most Marvel character now.

They wouldn't have made Luke Cage because Mego advertised The Falcon as "The Black Superhero" If they made Luke Cage the Falcon would have had to been called "Another Black Superhero"

Doom! as others have already pointed out is an obvious choice. They made to FF and no bad guy?! They only have 2 bad guys total (both spidey)

Another female would have been good and Spider Woman may have worked - she had a limited cartoon and she has the spider-man tie in.

they made other avengers so maybe Wasp for the female

maybe just stick with what sells - another male superhero probably Daredevil

I would stay away from x-men since there weren't any and in order to do them you'd need more than 2. if they were making 4 or 5 more figures then 4 X-Men it is (no Angel or prof)

I think what is forgotten about this "Manley 70's Era" That Girl Figures were not bought for Sons by any Fathers! At least as far as I remember. Invisible Woman was the only Fig I got back then.

Maybe you are forgetting that girls still existed even in the "manley" 70s and many of them wanted Super heroes. Adding a figure of Spider-Woman to WGSH isn't that much of a stretch considering Mego already made figures of Batgirl, Catwoman, Wonder Woman, Super Girl, Wonder Girl, Invisible Woman and ISIS.
