Doc Ock and Dr. Doom would be my choices, though my personal favorite would have been Mysterio. He was my first custom for a reason.

That great black superhero
No - Falcon was advertised as "That Great Black Superhero" implying that
everybody already knew all about him - and only you were clueless.
How many kids stood in store aisles looking puzzled at the Falcon? Wondering
why he made into a toy before Thor or Dr. Strange.

I would've like Luke Cage and Daredevil both.
Dr. Doom would've been awesome and I always liked the Red Skull for Cap, just loose the swastika on Skull. I'd never miss it.

I think X men Like Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Dr. Xavier, and Magneto. Definately Dr. Doom, Hawkeye, Doc Octopus, Rhino, and Red Skull would have been great for other waves.Comment

I missed that we could be selfish!!!
1. Nightcrawler (Byrne era)
2. Iceman (Byrne era)
...
but really I'd still have a hard time choosing with Dr Doom, Daredevil, Dr Strange, Black Panther, Mole Man, Spider-Woman, Black Widow, Sauron, and the rest of the x-men to pull from.
...Man I need to get on some of these.Last edited by Tothiro; May 31, '12, 11:39 AM.Comment

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

There's no way Mego should have been allowed not to make Dr. Doom. That's one of the biggest no-brainers in toy industry history. Complete and total misfire on a golden opportunity.
My other choice is not nearly as obvious. Strictly from a visual perspective and how colorful the character is, I think Vision would have done well. Put him on a blue backer card and he stands out from everything in that toy aisle. How many times have we been tempted to buy a figure just cause it looks cool, not. because we like or know the character? I think Vision would have been the ultimate Mego impulse buy.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! I've already echoed a Dr. Doom figure, but I also did wish I had a Daredevil to go along with my Spidey and Iron Man MEGO when I was a kid. I would've liked to have had a Black Panther and a Doc Strange, too....sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Thinking the way Mego was...Doom (Iron Man), Daredevil (Batman), Namor (Spock), & Hawkeye (Green Arrow) would have been easy recycled parts for them to reproduce these new characters...but...
Selfishly, I would want a Thanos and either a Warlock or Captain Marvel.
P.S. Let's not forget that in 78 Mego would have dealt with Archie Goodwin and not Jim Shooter...so...I doubt you would have seen any X-Men entering the picture in 78 even though they were just gaining steam, comic book wise, with Bryne & Claremount.Last edited by WannabeMego; Jun 1, '12, 1:22 AM.Everyone is Entitled to MY Opinion...Your's, not so much!Comment
