How was your 2011 : Collecting Wise?

just trying to think back about toy acquisitions but cant even believe the year is almost over.

I've had a kind of crazy year spending way too much money on toys and mostly comics. Looking back, I overdid it, probably, but it really is a buyer's market. Got a nice Justice League of America #1 which was probably my buying highlight of the year; Superman #18 may be a close second. Mego-wise, I lucked into a 1975A U.S. carded Invisible Girl and just last weekend picked up a boxed Batgirl and a pile of well-loved Type 1 loose heroes including a removable cowl Batman with skinny boots and a funky 70s era repacement sticker. Other highlights: Hot Toys Christopher Reeve, Third Eye Dr. Strange Poster, and a rare unused 1940s Superman Paint Set.

The worst thing was the Batman #9 I bought that arrived with the cover torn in half. What was really disappointing about that was that it was a gorgeous flat book with nice color, but someone apparently tore it either in shipping or during the live auction preview. Just hate to see a comic survive 65-70 years only to have some careless doofus damage it.

pretty good on the collectos market....got a few of my Mego grails. started and picked up all of the Super Joe line (just need some of the accesory sets)

Not a bad year for me,got alot of megos from some super guys on here and elsewhere,PotA,WGSH and Flash Gordon line,also lots of re-mego stuff too,just started on my Godzilla dvd collection and comics.

All in all a good year,roll on 2012 more collecting to be done.

I had a good year for repros and retros. Retros were great fun buying for my kids. Lots of real world going on, so the fine tuning and downsizing I'd been promising myself has to carry over to 2012 to get started. Our basement is starting to look "hoard-esque"

2011 has been a slow year in terms of collecting for me. Lost my focus for a while, and had to concentrate on so called real world issues... I missed my hobby.

It was kind of a weird year for me. The beginning of the year started out good, I managed to complete a couple lines that I collect, but I then went on hiatus for around six months as I concentrated on other things. But a few months ago I got the toy itch again and ended up adding a few key pieces to my collection. Now I'm just trying to rethink about where I want my focus to be, and decide what to concentrate on acquiring next year.

I got me a mint Kit Carson for $100.. completing my loose (yes loose, they are out there) Willers. And my ventures to other non-mego (non toy) areas have expanded a bit. Pretty good for me.

I've had a great year of collecting. Like others have said, it's been a buyers market. I got a bunch of MOC MEGOS like WGSH, POTA and Star Trek. I also got some model kits that I've wanted for some time. I look forward to 2012.

Not much in way of Mego collecting. However, I picked up all four Major Matt Mason figures on card, something I never thought I would own.

Good year. Completed my mego carded and boxed collections. Bought and sold a ton a great comics! Opened up a new store and all is good!
