What mego can you not stand the sight of!

Hello everyone,

I stare at my mego collection a whole heap (doesn't everyone?) and I can't help but noticing that a few of my Mego deserve to be in the bin. Not because they are bad condition (all my Mego's are mint), but because I think Mego did such a bad job of making them.
My question is, which Mego's do you guy's have just for the sake of completing a set and really don't like at all.
I know I will have people knocking at my door for this but to be honest the two mego's I hate the most in my collection that I bought just to have in the set is Mad Monster Mummy, and WGSH Superman.
The Mummy is simply my most hated of all Mego's, I would rather by 6 assorted naked broken Cher doll's than have a MIB Mummy. The colors on him are just so boring (brown..wow) and his head sculpt doesnt look like any Mummy I've seen in any movie, I simply just HATE it.
Superman, although he is one of my favorite comics characters of all time (I am listening to the John Williams Superman music right now), I hate the Mego doll. Why? His outfit is good I think, it is as good as you can get for 1972, plus I love how mego-esque that it is, but the head, is really just stupid in my eyes. Does any one else think that he looks like a 17 year old Italian teenager? I know, blah blah blah Mego recycled, but why didn't they make a Super Friends style head? Why did they let Superman become an incredibly young looking mediterranean kid?

Just a random rant, any one else have the same feelings about one or more of their Mego's?

I've never really liked Micronauts. They just didn't seem Mego like to me. More like space aged Habitrails w/ motors. I also don't like Comic Action Heroes. I realize they were probably a result of the high cost of plastics in the late 70s, but to me they just seemed like a giant step backwards, and just not as fun as the 8" or 12"; no clothes to change, not as poseable.

micronauts seem more like toy's that you would find in those asian discount stores where they sell cheap knock off toys. I am going to have to agree on them not being very Mego like, but you must admit, they do look pretty cool when displayed in a huge collection of playsets and vehicles.

lol, if I didn't love the Gorn so much I would agree with you, I think Mego really wrecked a perfectly good character (Arena, is one of my favorite Trek episodes), they could have at least made his own head or shirt, how lazy can Mego be?

Wait a minute now! You can't take away the Walton's as a candidate. They are indeed my most hated Mego's. Not because Mego didn't do a good job, just because I hated the show. I own them because I wanted to round out the TV section for the Mego Meet display, but I don't display them.

that's true of all the 12" megos except for the Batman the heads fit better on the 13 inch musclebound bodies used for the reeves face superman and Buck rogers

most hated mego 2 words FRIAR TUCK - I dislke fatbodies in general but at least others have better face sculpts and clothes. to me tuck should be hanging out with the bilbical knock offs - no tights the dopey grin and he doesn't even have parts useful to complete other figues or even make a custom with
