Now that you have mentioned it. Yes, I can actually see that from this.

That set is totally awesome!!!! Needed a bit more tweaking of course. Still very awesome none the less. I know I would have had one for sure.

Hey! We know that there is at least one in existence......out there in this world somewhere?????

Now I feel inclined to try and make one myself. This is too neat not to have.

Thanks to everyone involved in sharing this wonderful piece of Mego history.

Nice idea, way better bridge but that tacked-on crow's nest sick bay needs some serious rethinking.
I like the elevator idea just not the whole concept with the sick bay there.

I had to laugh at this because that was my original reaction, as well.

I like this for the authentic Bridge shape. The elevated Sick Bay must be to keep sick crew-people away from the healthy crew-people. A cat-a-pult feature would have helped to ditch infected crew-members too. 2 Scotties? One of them must be a Salt Vampire in disguise!

Actually if they had elevated the bridge to the top and made the rest like the Wayne Foundation with that elevator we could have visited Sick Bay, The Transporter Room, Engineering and the Hangar Deck.

If they had made that, I would have locked myself in my room when I was a kid...and still be in there!!

Man, I've been giggling like a little kid at Christmas ever since this was posted. Thanks to the powers that be that brought us this treasure from the past!!

(I think Diamond Toys needs to see this. THIS is the type of playset they need to bring us.)

Oh yeah, it may look a little weird to us 33 years after the fact but if I saw that in 1977, it would have been game over. It's little kid heaven.

It's also alot of fun to see the style of those old photos and catalog photos. Everything is so digitally perfect and sterile now. Back then it didn't matter if the screen decal is crooked and plealing or somebody didn't bother to grab a Bones for sickbay. It was like "Ah, the heck with it. Take a quick picture and show the licensor." Prototypes had such a hand made kitbashed look to them.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Just amazing. Man what I would give to be able to wander the halls of the R&D department for just one day back in the late 70's.
