hmm I do believe that my first Mego was the 12" Fly away Action Superman. Followed by almost the complete set of the WGSH along with a carrying case that folded out to be a City back ground if I remember correctly (I could be thinking of some other case). (Man I wish I knew what I did with all of them)
I can't remember if it was before or after my 12" supes but at one time I had the Mego pocket super heroes Superman, Batman, and Robin.
Thanks to Technology I can be the Hermit that I am today.
In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.
October 11th, 1973 (so almost 34 years ago) I picked out a Boxed Mego Superman as a 6th Birthday present. I remember seeing him and thinking "I got have this!!!" That got it started for me. Not only did it start Megos but comics, GI Joes, AHI monsters, Aurora models (Superhero and Monsters) etc, etc, etc.
It was at GRANTS CITY in Clementon NJ in 73 i was going for a gijoe but i saw a BATMAN yes it was an R/C BATMAN and i also got an action jackson at the same time since both combined was cheaper then the gijoe
