RM Batman for my birthday in '74, followed by Aquaman that Christmas.

I can still remember the thrill seeing them on a Target shelf for the first time that fall . . . .

hmm I do believe that my first Mego was the 12" Fly away Action Superman. Followed by almost the complete set of the WGSH along with a carrying case that folded out to be a City back ground if I remember correctly (I could be thinking of some other case). (Man I wish I knew what I did with all of them)
I can't remember if it was before or after my 12" supes but at one time I had the Mego pocket super heroes Superman, Batman, and Robin.
Thanks to Technology I can be the Hermit that I am today.

No idea really. It seemed I had my Star Trek figures for the longest time,so I'd go with one of them. Kirk more than likely who I still have.

In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

October 11th, 1973 (so almost 34 years ago) I picked out a Boxed Mego Superman as a 6th Birthday present. I remember seeing him and thinking "I got have this!!!" That got it started for me. Not only did it start Megos but comics, GI Joes, AHI monsters, Aurora models (Superhero and Monsters) etc, etc, etc.
