I think the bigger issue here is that a muppet referred to Doc Mego as a 'little birdie.'

Since getting back from Mego Meet, I have been working night and day getting
prototypes ready for San Diego Comicon.

I just cannot keep up with every thread here. Brian e-mailed me last night
about this tempest in a teapot and I sent him the same exchange you see
      above.

While gonzo (whatever your real name is) took a simple note completely
out of proportion, I should have just ignored his PM. So from now on,
please don't be offended if I don't reply to e-mails and PMs. I hate drama.

        <<Hello Museum dwellers,

Jason Lenzi here again of Bif Bang Pow! I'm sure the sharper heads among you can guess why I'm back on here to have a chat.

As you've most likely seen by now, there's a fella (or lady, let's face it, this is an anonymous board) on here that yesterday basically told you all that I'm a big liar. Now, I'm no Superman, but lying isn't in my chemical make up. There's no need to go into the 4,000 reasons that I don't lie as a rule and why it wouldn't be in my best interests to make stuff up when it comes to our toys. Once again, we debated on whether to come on here and clarify what is already a dead horse (I thought my last message would have put paid to any lingering questions) but it would seem that one poisoner is stirring the water in the well, and if a cup of that reaches any of you we wanted to reassure, once again.

So, I'll say it loud and clear so you can all hear it again: all of the tweaks and changes discussed are being taken care of. As I said earlier. Period. Done. Now, if that's still not good enough for anyone else, then by all means, PLEASE, wait until the figures come out and buy at your own discretion. These are coming out, the way we want, and we'd love you to join in the fun. But do yourself a favor and stop threatening to wait until they come out. I mean, isn't that, like, standard for just about ANY toy?

Now, to Gonzo (if that is your real name): your comments border on libel, so do yourself a favor, and restrict them in the future. Any timeyou'd like to engage me directly, I'd be more than happy to enjoy a long and healthy email exchange with you. But what I won't do is educate you on what a prototype or sample figure is, the details of the process of making action figures, what it's like to get a license and deal with studios and networks, distribution, graphics meetings and asset acquisition, dealing with factories, Comic Con planning and madness, and the general process of bringing dreams to life.

Now, as far as we're concerned, this is the last you're going to hear from us on the subject until these beauties come out later this summer. We're sorry some of the fun has been taken out of this the past couple of days, and even sadder if the accusation made has planted seeds of doubt in any of you. Thanks again for reading, and happy hunting to all of you. Well, nearly all of you.

        JL

P.S. Gonzo, please, don't ever compare us to another toy company again.

P.S.S. Just as a head's up, in a year or so we will be offering the incorrect sample versions of our Bif Bang Pow! retro figures in an auction. I assure you, they're quite rare, and no completist can afford to be without them. >>

Jason, I will be one of the first in line to purchase the Flash figures. Love the prototypes. Have no doubt I will love the finished product! Thanks for crafting great figures and letting us see early productions of that line. I'm more pumped than ever!!!

            Jason,
Based on the lines I've seen BBF! is bringing out, you've made me a die hard customer and fan. I've already started to make a list of xmas gifts and who to give what figure.
The retro feel is by far the best decision and it will soon attract new customers that never grew up with the original 8" retro figures.
            Kudos! Brilliant! Bravo!
            MUCHAS GRACIAS!!

PS..Looking forward to the expanded musician line(?) *hint*

I never sweat this drama...I'll be one of the first to buy these Gordon figs.
Well done and top kudos to all involved!

                Send them my way.

Awesome that he would take the time to respond to this yet again. I have to say that BBP's willingness to jump on the boards every now and then makes me want to support the company even more. I think we all knew this baby was a dead horse yesterday and this puts the final nails in the coffin. Can't wait to see the final product from BBP later this summer.

Nerd rage is not a pretty thing and hopefully this latest drama won't sour them on the museum. I've wanted Mego style Flash Gordon movie figures since I was I kid and can't wait to finally get them.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

                    Jason -
Thank you for taking the time to write to the Mego Museum community. I have already pre-ordered all the BBP figures and can't wait to get them. I have complete faith that you are trying to produce the best retro 8" figures possible and I have no doubt they will be wonderful. Keep up the good work!

Jason, thanks again for this update, even tho it wasn't really necessary. Everyone here, minus 1, knew you guys would come through, we never had a doubt. Except for one guy that is.

Opinions can't be libel. It's good to know the company we're putting so much faith in can and will resort to name calling so quickly. But that's just this lady's opinion.

Doc, you PMed me. I never PMed you. You took it upon yourself to answer my question from a thread. I'm not sure how I took what you said out of proportion. You very plainly said the figures were final. If you were wrong, that's fine, but don't try to twist anything I said. I know you don't like to be called out, but I'm not going to sit here and be lied about either. BBP! wants a a public apology from me? No. I want a public apology from you now!
