Really COOL of you Guys at BBP to keep us up to date with your development process...it shows you really care. And to listen to our thoughts both positive & negative. When we point out things like the translucent Heads...it's because we really care as well, and want the final product to look as AWESOME as possible!
Thanks for keeping the Mego dream alive Guys!sigpicComment

I wonder if the translucent heads will be variants and collectible.Upside to collectors.
Looking forward to the killer product in my heads.
Regardless of the qualms being carried on, these are simply gorgeous figures for this category. Even my partner agrees and she is not into toys. That says a lot.
Good job, BBP!
The retro line is brilliant and certainly will breed new converts.
Cheers!

Gonzo, you are insufferable.
There are things I don't like about vintage Mego, Emce, Castaway. No-one here minds negative comments expresed out of concern and in a civil manner.
But who needs your condescending, disingenous posts?
If you truly have useful information to present, please share it. We care as much as you do.
Otherwise, quit trolling.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

I didn't ask the individual who PM'd me this information to do so, and therefore I don't feel right outing them, but they told me in no uncertain terms that the figures we saw are final.
Now, BBP! could go back and remold all these figures, but that would likely be a prescription for delays.
I've been a big supporter of the retro Mego lines from the beginning. Go check my post history. No one has defended the Venture Brothers line more than I. I just don't want crappy figures and until BBP! shows us new photos of the final product, we have to assume what we've seen is what we're getting.Comment

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but you are acting kind of nuts about this. I agree with you that the current heads don't look good, but when the CEO of a toy company comes forward and explicitly says that an issue will be fixed before production, I have the tendency to believe him over some anonymous guy who knows some other SOOPER SEEKRIT anonymous tipster over the internet.
No one's forcing you to buy these things before you see them, so I don't understand why you just can't cool it for a couple months until they are released. If they're still bad, then by all means, complain away.
In the meantime, if you're going to keep obsessively and preemptively complaining about it, you're just going to end up irritating and then alienating everyone.Last edited by MegoSteve; Jun 17, '10, 6:25 PM.Comment

Listen, I don't want to upset anyone, I just want these toys to be good and marketable. If I didn't care, I wouldn't say anything. I've never subscribed to the 'stay quiet and hope for the best' routine.
I was a regular poster on the Palisades forum where we were encourage to nitpick every figure. That's how you improve: listen to criticism. BBP! claims to be doing that and I hope they do fix their issues, but with the figures due in consumer hands in less than 2 months, it seems very late in game for huge changes to be made.
Again, I only want the best for BBP!. Hopefully they will see the value in the our criticism. We don't need another 'Shocker Toys' situation.Comment

Which huge changes? All they need is a different kind of plastic or rubber or whatever to pour the heads. There's nothing wrong with the sculpts or the outfits"...The agony of my soul found vent in one loud, long and final scream of despair..." - Edgar Allan PoeComment

Below is my PM response to gonzo - it was before I saw the thread about
the Lost heads and I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG. Whenever I have seen
packaged samples, production has already started. Jason obviously saw
pre-production samples and was able to make changes.
ONCE AGAIN, I WAS INCORRECT IN WHAT I TOLD GONZO. NOW CAN WE
STOP THE CONSPIRACY THEORIES AND NONSENSE.
