I'm sure these are great pics, but I can't see them b/c I'm not on Facebook. Could you post them here or in your personal MM gallery? Thanks!

I don't get all the folks saying their kids 'finally have a mego they can play with'. The entire catalog of CTVT is $5 per figure, and mix and match custom figures can be put together there and from Doc and Castaway for not much more. If your kids are so hungry for Megos and you want to keep them away from yours, why not get/make them a different one for every birthday/Christmas in this fashion?
I have given my son many of the CTVT and also made many customs for him. The CTVT bodies are garbage and break too easy while played with.

I did give him the Retro Green Arrow and he loves it. Although he told me he only wants to display it now. Guess the collector mentaltity is wearing off on him. I still have not found the Toys R us ones. I have to go check again

That all makes sense. I was wondering. I don't have kids, but it has just occurred to me I have cousins with kids who I could start buying remegos for in this fashion. Though I'd probably do body swaps on the CTVTs before giving them, and I'd offer repairs/replacements if they broke. I think any Mattels I gave would just have to fare on their own, though.

Caelonfox, either you're an incredible kid's photographer or
your kid could be a model...or a combonation of both...those are
                some great shots

I just saw this post after reading the post of the guy's who questioned the
"buying in the store" aspect of this (as opposed to cheaper CTVTs thru
                    the mail).

I just have to say that one day in the summer of 1979 my dad took
me to KIDDIE CITY and allowed me to get the whole 2nd wave
of STAR WARS figures...it was simply one of the best days/memories of
                    my life.

Nice to hear your story (and the other's here RA stories).

That sounds awesome----you'll read my post above regarding STAR WARS figs---but the way you're doing it with the RA's is actually
even more simillar to what my parents did with
me and the MCDONALD LAND figure collection...

They bought all 7 of them at once and gave them to me
scattered throughout a month or so.

They hid them at the top of my bedroom closet and I could
JUST see them... but there was NO way I could reach them

My little boy is too small right now to play with them but I got him all the first wave for the future and will get him the others as they come out. His favorite is Superman (he grins from ear to ear when he sees him) so far, but he'll have to wait to open it. I'll post pics tomorrow.
