That was not my point at all.

My point was, I was wondering why only now people were getting megos for their kids for the first time when CTVT has had mego-like figures available affordably for years. That's all. A lot of people were commenting that the kids were thrilled to finally have 'megos they could play with'.

It wasn't about the stores at all.

      Baby-man Meets Superman!

      BABY-MAN LOVES SUPERMAN!

Finally got the pic up. My son is only 9 months but he knows who Superman is already. I'm trying to teach him who Batman, Flash and Aquaman too but he doesn't seem interested in them yet. He loves to see Superman fly! I should of taken a picture of his grin when I fly Superman around. Anyway can't wait until he's actually old enough to play with all the waves that are out by the time he's about 5.
Wanted:- 12" Robin Shoes; Mego Batcave, Mego Die-cast Batman-loose, Mattel-BSG Gold Cylon loose.

I bought a Superman for my Nephew. He was blown away by it. He's 6 years old and has never had a toy like this. Thanks Doc!!!

I apologize...I kinda got what you just corrected me with in your post too,
but I slanted your post's vibe when I spoke of it in my post more in order
to address the OTHER guy's post and try to kill two birds with
              one stone....um....kind of...anyways, again, I apologize.

The excitement is surely the 'off the shelf' experience with superheroes.
I have given several sets of knights, pirates, and western figures to some of my relatives (most of which are still surviving in playland, btw), but no heroes are available from ctvt. You could mix and match some items and get a cowl from Doc to make a rc bats, but I think that is the closest to an actual Mego you could get that way. Or Jet Jungle, but what kid knows that one?

It's cool, no worries. I've been kind of touchy last few days, sorry. I blame Mattel Distribution.

Yeah, I absolutely wasn't factoring that in when I asked the question, I was just wrongly imagining all these kids exposed to the temptation of their parents' collections and not having anything like it of their own and trying to 'solve' that.

All these pictures and stories are really awesome either way.

I'll see if I get the chance to move some shots off my camera this weekend. We have one of those net fruit bowls that look like a little hammock. I purchased a Superman for him tonight. He had Green Arrow, Superman, Gumby and Pokey hanging out and resting in the "hammock." The best thing was when I heard him say "Time for bed, Green Arrow."
                          It's all good!

My nearly-four-year-old just got his Retro-Action Supes. He already has Supes stripped down, with his suit on Green Arrow, and poor Clark is now flying around the house in just his red boots. Oh, the indignity!

Good thing he's invulnerable! I know I wouldn't want to be flying over the city
                              in my birthday suit.

Bringing back an old thread because I meant to download all of the photos in my camera weeks ago and finally got around to it. Green Arrow was on the "floor" under the "bed" in this pic, but won the roost at the end
                                It's all good!
