Retro-Action Superman: Up Close

Thanks again to the good people at Mattel and EMCE we have another early look at the Mattel Retro Action DC Super Heroes line, this time it's 8" Superman head sculpt again in the rather fitting "Mugshot" style.

Again I have to applaud the "Challenge of the Superfriends" vibe going on here, this the Superman we grew up with, if he could talk, he'd have Danny Dark's voice.
Superman will be in "Wave One" of the Retro-Action Superheroes this Spring along with Lex Luthor, Green Lantern and Sinestro.

This is a sculpt so satisfying to me that even unpainted it looks very cool.
I wouldn't be surprised if that WAS the proto...I mean...like the one seen in
the promo stuff.
Either way, I really like how the hairline looks, very important if they were
looking to "improve" on Mego...the Megoey face is a solid bonus.

Just an excellent job on that head sculpt. Can't wait to see the final product with the paints applied, but even unpainted that head sculpt is very appealing.
