Great square jaw and Super "S" Curl. I like him. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Wow, that is a great looking Supes. While it does scream Super Friends to me, is it just me, or is there a bit of George Reeves in there too?

He seems like he'd fit into a Curt Swan comic, no?

I LOVE Mego Superman, and love his face and head sculpt, he's my favorite Mego with the tan and all---but this is perfectly Superman for sure.

That sculpt really puts the retro in retro-action! And I agree with Brian, the more Super Friend-y the better.

BTW, is this a brick-and-mortar store release or will it be through on-line sales only?

                      Toys R Us

The sculpt IS the vintage MEGO Superman with the spit curl bigger
and more prominent and a stronger jaw and cleft chin.

Wave 1,2,3 etc. will be in Toys R Us and comic shops (thank you
Diamond) so everyone should be able to get these.

That head really does look a lot better than the prototype

Sheesh, way to bash on the prototype, everybody! I like seeing the evolution of these things. You make a prototype and then improve on it, isn't that the way it works?

I'm certainly not bashing the prototype. I said the exact same thing you did, I just used another way to say it. Improving on something means it looks a lot better, no?

Yes, of course, you're right. I overdid it on that comment. I'm just being supportive of our friends that worked on these. I'm thrilled to watch it develop.

This head is a rotocast version of the prototype head which was resin cast
and hand painted. The only difference between the rotocast version and
the resin version is about 6% shrinkage.

I will admit that the paint application does change the look of the head.
Sometimes I am amazed at how a vintage head will look when I cast it
                                sans the paint details.
