So if I understand correctly the giant pic of Green Arrow won't be on the front, that was just done for the ad, right? Then will his name be on the front, like with the original Megos?

That's how I see it. The pic of GA is just to show off the figure with the card art. A quasi carded GA if you will. Being in graphics, it makes perfect sense.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

I'm not in the know about the cards, but remember, this is an ad with a picture of a prototype figure. I'm guessing the card art is a prototype as well. I would guess that like all carded figures, the name of the character will be on there somewhere.Comment

They should have asked us. We've figured out who drew what on just about every Mego package.
But seriously, with Mego packaging, much of the art was adapted and partially redrawn. The head shots on the 1979 cards for instance. I can give you a source for every head, but both Superman and Batman had their shoulders redrawn, and maybe others too.
The rigid style guide laws strike again. Oh well. It's still a nice card, and I'll be opening at least one figure anyway. I plan on buying at least two of each for myself!

I think that's the point, many of the original Mego illo's were redrawn after other artists and that makes them problematic...Give us Golden Age Mego!!! Hourman! Golden Age Green Lantern, Jay Garrick would absolutely rock!sigpicComment
