I thought they really sucked...huge heads, hair that got messy, boring accessories silk-screened on...well that's what I thought of my sister's Supergirl anyway.

My mom would not let me get any female MEGO - not Uhura, not Batgirl,
none. I guess she was afraid that I would take off her clothes and become
some porn-obsessed weirdo - good thing that never happened!

Now I have almost 2,000 naked, headless girls in a closet in my house
that I had shipped in from China.

Nothing like parental limits to keep you on the straight and narrow.

I only had Zira. I HAD to have a complete set of Apes, and when my Dad let me pick one out and I picked Zira (already had Cornelius) he tried to talk me out of it. "Are you SURE you want that one?" I think he was afraid I'd start wanting Barbies next.

We did well at the flea market in my household...
That having been said, superpowers Wonder Woman, Princess Leia, Cheetara, Teela and Evil Lynn, Lady Jaye and Scarlet, Even the Fisher Price Adventure People transparent blue green robo lady had a place in the household at some point or another.
But for Megos I only had a hand-me-down T1 superman as a kid, so that disqualifies me from the poll. :/
Waitaminute! I did get some OMBC figures for a Birthday from my grandparents... I wanted to love them but spent most of my time with them on my stomach on their carpet trying to work the throwing action... I don't think I ever saw any beyond the three guys.

[EDIT] How could I forget the Flash Gordon Lizard woman??? She was one of my favorites.

Well I had Batgirl, WW and Catwoman and also Uhura. I didn't think anything of it because they were in the cartoons and tv shows at the time. As a kid, they got play time just as much as the male characters if the storyline I had going called for it.
              It's all good!

I never had any Megos as a child...and I still think the female Megos suck...except for Zira. At least her head is proportional to her body.

Yeah, I wanted the Supergals desperately but could not pull the trigger ever. I would circle them in heroes world ads and pretend to order them (it would be easier through the mail) but I had both Catwoman and Supergirl in hand (with a fiver even) as a kid but it was such a long walk to the counter...

One of the more refreshing things about being an adult collector for me was getting over that and letting the ladies join.

Wanted 'em when I was a kid. Wouldn't even ask or seriously consider getting them IRL back then, tho.

Never saw any, but I may have been hesitant to pull the trigger on one. They seemed too dolly to me. I may gone for an Invisible Girl because I really wanted to complete my Fantastic 4.

I had Batgirl, Catwoman, and Uhura. I never thought anything of it. In fact Batgirl was one of my favorites. She had something of a "removable cowl" which having been born too late for RC Batman I thought was way too cool. I wanted them all. I remember looking for an 8 inch Wonder Womanand never finding it. I would have gobbled her up if I had found her and thought nothing of it. Same thing with Star Wars. Got Princess Leia because she was part of the set.

I never had any issue with female figures. I had Uhura, I had Bionic Woman, I had the 3-3/4 and 12" Leias, etc.... when I was little, my cousins were all female so inevitably I would wind up playing Barbies with them, though usually I preferred to be Ken in those situations, lol. But I never felt weird or wrong for owning female figures or wanting them. I can remember really wanting Invisible Girl and Batgirl, but I never saw them in stores. Honestly, even if I had, I don't think I'd have chosen them over an Iron Man or Falcon or Thor (other Megos which I coveted and never saw on the shelves, sadly).

My father never had any issues with my toys, he loved buying me toys and never cared if they were female figures. I remember him even surprising me one night and bringing home a brand new ESB Bespin Leia he picked up at the store (the ESB figures had literally just hit the shelves here), so he obviously didn't have an issue with it.

I think those young boys who'd push around and harass another boy for having a Bionic Woman figure, are a result of having fathers who think it's right to let their kids behave and think that way, unfortunately.
