    Just plain WOW!

I missed this over the weekend i can only say I'm stunned. I really didn't think this could happen. Congrats Paul and Joe for really bringing Mego to a new generation.

I'm just happily floored by all of this. For me - since I'm a Mego fan but not so much of a WGSH collector - its just pure joy to see folks who grew up with & love these toys so much actually be able to *make* them.

I'm so happy for you guys!

According to the current buzz, Green Arrow will be an exclusive on Mattycollector.com but the rest will be at Toys R Us.

Being that Green Arrow is one of my favorite super heroes. I am really stoked about seeing this. Even made a cartoon joke to the Doc saying how much would it take to "Send it to me" right now. Doc sternly reminded me about being under contract and would get in a lot of trouble for doing that. LOL Dr. Mego and Marty need a lot of kudos. I have been waiting forever for these to make it on shelves again. Never imagined I would see it in my lifetime.
The suspense is killing me. What do they mean by special order? Where would we be able to find Green Arrow?
More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

I was very hopeful this would happen. I remember seeing some old Mego Superheroes at an EMCE booth at a con some months ago. Looks like the forshadowing came true. Wonderful to see the heroes that never got a Mego release. I hope that Marvel will want in on this too.

                Congratulations on this effort everyone.

                    Okay, here's an update.

It's been asked whether or not we're making any improvements to the capes, be it material or some kind of hemming to prevent the classic "fraying" problem of vintage MEGOs.

We can reveal that the material is still nylon in keeping with MEGO, because we believe that changing the material of something with as much area as a cape is leaning a bit too far out of the "MEGOverse".

However, the Mattel factory is going to apply a process that seals the edges so fraying won't be a problem.

Hopefully that will be seen as an improvement without straying too far away from what we're intending to so with the line.

As always, more info as it comes in.

I posted this in the forum we started down in "ReMego" and I'm posting here until we can get this whole duplicate thread thing figured out.

Thanks for the info Joe. Keep on keepin' on. We appreciate the info and anything less than positive or uber-enthusiastic is only meant as constructive criticism. I am glad to here Mattel will be working on minimizing fray.

Congrats! This is VERY exciting!!!! I have two questions....

                        1. Will these be in window boxes?
                        2. Is there a chance for Marvel versions?

                        Thanks!

                          1. No, on card
                          2. Not right now (no license yet), but who knows in the future...

I'm a little curious about MattyCollector.com. I'm not familiar with the site, at all, so maybe what I am seeing there is not typical. This isn't a criticism, per se, but there really isn't much for sale there, at all. I imagine it is associated with Mattel, but it doesn't look much of a site. Is it usually better?

I counted a total of 24 items for sale on the site.
If you take out the "Coming Soon", "No longer available", "Currently Unavailable", figure stands, and a MOTU Club membership for $260, there are exactly 4 figure packs that you can order from the site, at this time.

                            Is this typical?

I just realized that this could bring Mego full circle. After all the name was started with Marty's kid saying "Me go to..." Now we get the chance to buy the next incarnation of Mego (or Mego II)
